I've had some bad customer service experiences. It's really a make or break when it comes to deciding which business I will keep returning to. With online shopping, if I've had a pleasant interaction when there's an issue with my order, I even feel more obliged to support the business and purchase more.

Hi there! I’m someone who works at my local McDonald’s, which is very customer service oriented. It’s definitely not the most glamorous job, but I still do my very best to ensure every customer has a great experience. You’d be surprised at how many of my coworkers just have a bad attitude! They are rude to the customer when they ask for additional sauces, utensils, etc. I’m also overly apologetic to the customer as I’m very empathetic. I just want them to feel appreciated and heard whenever they go to my restaurant.
I love when you film outside your studio cause the shops, the brands, the church, the brick buildings, the off-white sky... remind me when I lived in Edinburgh. The views are close different in south Spain
I've had an experience where I was filming around an indoor shopping centre (I really wanted to try filming a vlog of my day for the first time) and near the end, I was filming a little sweet stall and they said that I should be asking permission to film their sweets... we're not even talking about homemade sweets here, just standard stuff you see everywhere. Then a security guard approached me right after saying that he noticed me filming around the place and said how I wasn't allowed to film, period! It was a scary experience honestly. I often wondered how everyone does their studio vlogs outdoors without getting into trouble. When you think how we have smart phones now where everyone is using their camera with the potencial to photo and film anywhere, I found it so strange. I don't think anyone planning some kind of shop heist would bring a giant Canon SLR camera like I did, I was with family too!
I can almost guarantee you that on the door of the shopping centre there was a no camera sign though...at least if your malls are like the ones in Canada. It is usually small and generally goes unnoticed by 99.9% of folks but they were probably there. As to how others get around those signs....the business' either did not have the signs posted or the vlogger ignored/overlooked them.

@@crystalnoname6046 You're right about that too! But guess where it was? Hidden on a wall closest to the automatic doors, not ON the automatic doors but in a really awkward place where you can't see it as you're entering! That and it visually didn't look that noticeable as a poster. You know the "No Smoking" sign? Do that with a camera and stick it on the doors so people can see! I honestly didn't think it would be an issue at the time so it really shocked me.
@@KatnippStudios Totally understand that yeah! Being polite goes a long way and rudeness can be bad for business. Word of mouth spreads far so make it a positive experience! I think you handled the whole situation really well!
TOTALLY agree! Why do hairstylists make us look like old ladies? I always have to redo my hair afterwards. Am I right?!

The number of times I’ve had to go back next day to have them adjust the cut because I hated it the way I’d normally style my hair is unreal. 🤦🏻♀️ it looked granny-ish when they styled it and awkward when I did. My step mom’s stylist always styles her hair like Farrah Fawcett every time without fail. 😂

Would honestly be so interested in a video about how you budget for business and stuff. Do you use spreadsheets cos I bloody love a good excel session 😂😂 Daisy is adorable 😍😍 I always experience bad customer service whenever I got into our local curry’s 🙈 so much so that I don’t shop there now. I’ve shopped there multiple times thinking it was just a one off but, nope! They don’t get my business anymore. Customer service is everything!

I wholeheartedly agree with you on the need for good customer support. You can absolutely deliver information in a professional way to customers. There’s never a need to be rude!

Your customer service is so amazing! Awhile ago there was a little issue with missing products from my order and Emily got back to me same day and the items were shipped out the next day and arrived quickly and included a little bonus sticker sheet. (Totally not necessary but such a nice surprise!) I had a similar problem with another Etsy business and they asked me for proof of missing items, which I totally understand, but they were SO rude about it and accused me of lying. Thankfully there was a customs slip that did indicate the incorrect number was sent, but I will never order from there again and the owner tried to make me pay shipping for their mistake. I wasn’t even mad about the missing items because I know it happens, but they were so rude and even messaged me when I left a review that said the items were nice but that I was accused of being a liar about my missing items.

It’s such a shame because now you potentially may not shop with them again and it’s so important as a handmade business owner 🌸🌸🌸 I’m so proud of emily ehhehe I always spoke to emily and mike about the Katnipp “brand voice” so this makes me super happy that she made the customer experience so lovely!!! 🌸🌸 xxxxx
She really did! Even in my review I noted how AMAZING my customer experience was and how quickly the problem was resolved. I’ve worked in customer service for years and it really is a fine art. The Katnipp team is so amazing and kind and really makes the customer’s experience so wonderful and stress free! I’m definitely someone who gets nervous when messaging a company about something like this but the washi tapes were part of my gift to my bride’s maids last Valentine’s Day when I got married and it was such a relief to be treated so kindly and have my issue resolved so quickly. ❤️❤️❤️

“Talking to a camera in my car” 😝 vloggers are so brave!
I sometimes sculpt small things and to paint them is difficult. One thing I do do that I find makes it easier is get a little bit of blu tac or washi tape and stick it to the palm of my hand to paint. Just stops it moving around and also means you don't have to try and hold it.

Long time watcher here, but I’ve never commented before. I’m loving the vlog posts. The stickers look awesome and super cute. A close friend of mine makes her own nail decals and she made a few indoor ‘washing lines’ out of parcel string to peg her papers up on to allow them all to dry. Just an idea for you. It saves a lot of desk space. ❤️

You're so right about customer service. It matters in e-mail too! Some people don't realise that the words they are using can come off as quite condescending. I've had a few instances where the person on the other end just sounded like they hated their job and didn't want to help me at all. Situations like that often make me go to a competitor instead so yea... customer service is important! But like you also mentioned, it does depend on the situation. Sometimes as a business you have to be assertive or people will just walk all over you. Thinking about those "Karen" types that'll just shout and want everything for free...
Customer service is definitely key when you are providing goods or a service to people, even B2B you have to be on it. And I totally agree with you, treat others how you would like to be treated :) Another great vlog! Congrats on selling out of the nail decals again :D

Firstly I love your hair ! Secondly my daughter had a terrible customer service experience in London and will never buy that brand again ( I doubt the company will collapse) but that is how it happens people vote with their feet. Anyway the juicy details are it was Charlotte tilbury’s flagship store in Covent Garden. Bearing in mind we live in the Lake District so it was a treat day shopping in London and the staff were so rude and condescending, definitely a mean girls vibe. She’d gone in with a list of items for her kit that could have been bought online but she wanted the shop experience - I’ve rambled on for long enough but she left empty handed and near to tears - the experience spoilt our whole day ! The irony is that my daughter, is now a counter manager in a department store for Estée Lauder and makes sure everyone’s buying or browsing experience is a good one ! X

Hi Catherine 😊 great video, as always ❤️ Have a question 🤔 have you considered making key chains? I'm sure super cute keychains would sell 😍 like the pins with the golden back and border, but instead of a pin on the back of the design, a keychain 😃 I would definitely buy 😊 I like pins but sometimes I'm not sure how to incorporate them into my outfits or where to put them, but a keychain is something that I can use without thinking 😂 u kno what I'm sayin'
ooo heads up the circut machines have a fault on them and are going up in flames so make sure you keep yours turned off when not using.
I must say I always ask before vlogging in shops, some galleries have signs on the windows about no camras and such too. in your case I'd be tempted to email the gallery and politely say that you were disappointed at the level of customer service from the member of staff ive done it myself and had a formal apology also had the member of staff say sorry. They won't know there's an issue unless you tell them

Instead of investing in another Cricut you probably want a professional machine such as a Graphtec or Roland. They are more versatile and a servo motor is quieter and much faster.

Instead of getting more Cricut machines, would it be more cost effective to fine a sticker manufacture instead? Your time is money. It could free you up to do other things And you wouldn't have to restock as often.

I don't like that the man at the store was mean to you. Makes me think he had a bad past experience or was just a jerk. Customer service means a lot. Shop owners should see their customers as money coming in the door and walking right out again if they don't put their best foot forward. Love your vlogs. @@KatnippStudios well I've never tried the others, but it does have those awesome new blades, perforation, wavy, deboss, engrave, and it is faster than the previous models I believe also, cutting thicker material and let's not forget how beautiful it looks!
I love your videos but I couldn’t finish this one, it went in and out of focus so much that it made it hard to watch 😕. The designs/products I did see were lovely as always, though.

Love, love your videos. I just wondered if you have considered the Graphtec CE50 Lite. Its more expensive but it is a 20" and it is advertised at being 7x quicker than their craft cutter the Silhouette Cameo. They have just upgraded it as well to work with Silhouetter Studio. @@KatnippStudios I dont think so. It is the baby of the commercial cutters. I am starting up my business soon and have been doing masses of research. I rang Graphtec who are in Wrexham, Wales and talked to the lovely Ellen who is bringing the Graphtec CE50 and a Cameo 4 to my house in Newcastle to have a look at which one would suit my business. Graphtec also make the Cameo (which I didnt know) so I should get good information. I think the new 20" Cameo is going to retail at well over £400 and the Graphtec is about £600 but the width and speed are awesome. Just thought as you are doing mega amount of stickers of every kind this may be a good fit. Anyway hope this helps x

This is a little off-topic for this Vlog, but it is on my mind and if I don’t ask
now I know me and I will forget. I know you like Florida and Disney, which is what prompted this question. Would you consider doing a line of enamel pins and stickers related to all things Florida (or costal) and Disney? Things like manatees (my favorite animal), palm trees, seashells, a castle (similar to a Disney Castle). I know you can not do exact Disney characters which is a bummer since I am a HUGE Winne-the-Pooh fan but a teddy
bear enamel pin and stickers would be really cute too.

Looks like you need an art drying rack :-) (spraying nail decals)
Do you still make these decals? They have small Spray Booths you can use for your spraying. We use them in cake decorating when air brushing. It's basically a washable filter and a fan, so it takes the express spray away.
I'd love a tutorial on how to make the decals. So cute.
