Personally I don't mind it,better than bare radiators or cables. It probably is just MDF,but I guess they aren't going to make them from high quality wood,especially when they probably get damaged and need changing regularly. But each to their own and all that 🙂

always wondered what one of these treehouses was like. it's a fairly new thing. stayed in the AT hotel myself, liked it.
