    Just wanted to share with you guys how to use maschine as a midi controller since I meantioned it but didnt do instructions on it. The way you do it is on the external Maschine and hold shift and F1 for Maschine MIDI control. Then open up a sound or sample in Serato and then tap on the pad(s) and you are good to go. Note: Make sure you MIDI port setup is active in your DAW and you are good to go! Hope this helps! Thanks for checking out the vid and coming through. Blessings

      @@peter83north I will probably make that soon. I still have the files but I have to make sure I have all the folders and etc because i just recently changed over HHD so you know how that goes. Appreciate you asking the question and checking out the vid fam! Blessings!

      Wonder if you can do the same with NIs S-Series MIDI Keyboards. I'd say so.

      @@the.deadpoet The only thing being that with the new Serato Sample 2.0 it wont be color coded. I have the new Kontrol 61key MK3 and it doesnt do anything different if you had the MK2. Hpoefully this helps your answer. I still have both MK2 and MK3 and neither did it. It reads as a third party VST. Appreciate you coming through and checking out the vid and the channel and hope it helped! Blessings!

      This is the reason why I wanted to put this out there! I think alot of people go strat to the sample part of songs, loops, etc and never really dig into the one shot concept of Serato. It has alot of great potential and could change the production game for some folks. Hope it really helps the community out! Thanks for coming through and showing love as you always do fam! And the beat was dope for that contest. I see why you won! Blessings!

      Ok if I understand correctly you are drawing in the midi to play the sample chops from Serato? The only thing I can thing of is that the sample was maybe drawn over another school that you have done. Or are you using the release knob on your samples??? I would have to see it to better understand what you are asking family. Appreciate you! 💯

      Also, I think that Redux after looking at the preview has So MUCH to it that the average producer or beginner would give up with all of the intricate workings of it. That is more for an advance or expert level producer. I do get it and understand it but also there are so many workings in it that it could possibly frustrate some. But its is super powerful when it comes to having effects, manipulation of the sample, etc.

    Thinking about buying Serato, hardest thing to find in a video is someone setting their own chops. Everyone is using the auto-chop feature. I'm 100% sure you can set slices and adjust them but I want to know if you can just set your chops form scratch to show some flexibility rather than auto-setting, then moving stuff from there. Like if I want 2 small chops out of a 4 bar loop.

    • @PULSEMusicGroup

      Hey family. Thanks so much for coming through and checking out the vid on the channel. And yes you can definitely set your own chops and navigate them to where ever you want to. You can hit a key or midi on your hardware and that sets your chops manually. Even if you use auto you still can move your slice to whatever point you want. I did show that when you do reverse you have to move the marker it's pretty much the same thing when you want to manually set chops. Hope that helps you out family. Blessings! 💯

    I love serato sample BUT after about a year of using it there are a few things that Serato could add to improve it. First is the option to load multiple samples. So if the user wants to use it like a mpc they have that option. Next is the ability to slide/nudge all the slices at once. Another is routing your sample chops. It only goes to mixer track 9.

    Hi, thanks for the video. Does/will Serato export the individual created samples as their own independent wav files/samples? For example, if I wanted to chop up a bunch of samples to import into Kontakt? thanks, very good video.

    • @PULSEMusicGroup
      @PULSEMusicGroup  Год назад +4

      Thanks so much for coming through the channel and checking out the video family! So as far as exporting that is only available through your DAW. Serato Sample doesnt have an export feature to do independent files such as wavs, mp3, or midi.

      @@PULSEMusicGroup Thank you for the info. It works best for me if I manually chop and edit individual samples in an external audio editor before bringing into Kontakt (can also then use the samples in other samplers like Decent Sampler) - but it seemed possible that Serato was a large portion of the way there - especially with the automatic transient detection - and could use a wider array of less organized sounds as samples. As far as I know when utilizing Serato in Maschine, slices in Serto represent the chops that you would like to trigger. I haven't encountered where I hit a pad and the tempo gets slower because it supposed to just trigger the slice. Now you can change the pitch in Serato and even then tempo as well but that's the only manipulation that supposed to happen pad wise. Check your settings in Maschine and see if it starts there especially with latency and what that setting is. Seriously doubt that it starts with Serato. Aww man.......Mac version, that will do not, lol But so glad that you got through and got it working family. Really love what it does and how you are able to really make great music with it. And not just sampling. One shots, filters, etc and it really is for the ages. Appreciate you coming back and letting me know the results. Blessings! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💯

    honestly you could do 95% of this stuff in FL with Sampler and Slicex, or Ableton with Simpler or Sampler. I suppose it might be good if youre using something else.

      Thanks for the checking out the vid fam! now I do have to say though....that is awesome for users who are more advanced in those DAWs and know what to do with it. but for alot of Serato Sample users, Cubase users, even the "others" you want something that will be user friendly and IMO this does that with ease without any complications. Also, there is little to none when it comes to CPU usage so you really cant beat that! but as all plugins are, there arent for everyone but it does help when it comes to understanding how to chop samples for a beginner! I appreciate the input! This is what it is all about!

    Dope. Can you you edit start and end times? Can you import from vynl?

    • @PULSEMusicGroup
      @PULSEMusicGroup  Год назад +1

      Yes! You can alter you points by using the arrows of the indicators when you choose them by using your keyboard. After you kit the key you can edit your start and end points. And as far as vinyl, you can import them as a wav or mp3 from your method of import choice and your done! Thanks ymfor checking out the vid and the channel. Hope it helps! Blessings! 💯

    What's going on i wanted to know which is better Tracklib or Splice for samples?

    • @PULSEMusicGroup
      @PULSEMusicGroup  Год назад +1

      It's honestly a personal preference but for some as far a better clearance for them I would say Traclib for sure. Splice has its ups and downs with the sample stuff. Tracklib already has the clearances though. Thanks for asking and checking out the vid and the channel. Blessings! 💯

    • @PULSEMusicGroup
      @PULSEMusicGroup  6 месяцев назад +1

      If you go to the section of the video where I discuss using set slicer you can start with that or if you have a midi keyboard you start off with C1 and hit the note and that starts a chop then C2 and so forth. Appreciate you asking the question and hope this helps! Blessings!

    Is there a way to normalize in Serato Sample? I've loved working with it so far but this seems like a weird feature to either be missing or to have not found yet. Please help me out lol

    • @PULSEMusicGroup
      @PULSEMusicGroup  11 месяцев назад +2

      The best way, in my opinion, is to change the volume of each chop that you want to be normalized. Or prior to being in the sample, normalize it in a DAW or other program. That seemed to be the best way for me. Appreciate you coming through and checking out the vid and the channel. Greatly appreciate you! Blessings! 💯 CA

    Once your happy with the sample, where do you save it?

    • @PULSEMusicGroup
      @PULSEMusicGroup  4 месяца назад +2

      Once you develop the chops that you want you can draw them into your DAW or play them out via midi controller and bounce them as a wav for future reference or you can save a template in your DAW to recall at a layer time or your chosing. It's better to make a folder on your desktop or HHD where you make samples and save it there. How it helps. Greatly appreciate you coming through and checking out the vid and the channel! Blessings!

      Alot of software / or hardware all have a feature to sample for the most part. The difference here is the functionality and ease of sampling.
