If I had to define Death Stranding I would say that the game is a visually appealing Grind Reduction Simulator. When you start the gameplay the grind is difficult, but as you upgrade and build roads and ziplines etc. the grind becomes easier, and the rewards become more satisfying.
The Number 1 game you need to play first that you didn't even mention is Astro's Playroom which comes already pre-installed on the console. That game is Amazing and just makes you feel good while playing it. The controller is great in it and there are so many references to past PlayStation games. Also don't get me started on the soundtrack

I've never felt the kind of emotions I did with Death Stranding. It's such a masterpiece. The absolute desolation and desperation you feel at times is hard to describe. It's magic.

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart was absolutely amazing, i'm a long time fan and I was so happy to meet them again, the game was beautiful, the wepons original and fun, the exploration and the planet breath taking, I LOVED IT

oh man i'm a long time fan since the first one on ps2, and i very reccomend you to play the other game, if you can have them all i recommend you to play : 1) The trilogy (r&c, going commendo, up your arsenal), it was on ps2 but there is also a trilogy you can buy directly 2) A crack in time : That's literally the best ratchet and clank of the serie, if you loved rift apart, you'll be in love with a crack in time, there is everything in it, story, fun, weapons, exploration (you literally have your spatialship and you can fly everywhere in different galaxies, land on planets, and also land on moons to have side missions etc...) if you have any question i'm here bro
I trust you completely, so when you gave no.1 to Call of Duty, I stopped the video instantly and went to buy it! Didn't want to get spoiled accidently! Kind shocked Returnal didn't make it. Different strokes for different folks.
Returnal is one of the best games I have ever played. The first boss is hard to beat. But as you keep playing your weapons get stronger. So rewarding when you finally beat it and eventually the game. 10/10 for me
That game is so brutally hard but yet so satisfying! It took me a while to get the hang of it. You really do feel like everything is on the line in that game😬
What about Sackboy? I was finally able to buy a PS5 just before Christmas and bought half of the games you have on your list. I love Sackboy! Very addictive, and great platformer.
Spiderman Remastered, Miles Morales, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake were the first games I got when I scored a PS5 last June. Now I'm starting a first playthrough of Death Stranding: Director's Cut. I passed on DS in its original release.
There’s a lot of great ps5 games like death loop or returnals but the ps5 made me wanna go back and play older games like Spider-Man and ghost of Tsushima

It's almost like I'm collecting games just to do it lol (tales of arise, ghosts of tsusima, spiderman, AC, FC6, COD, etc) . But I have to say the single game I completed and loved all the way through is Fenyx Rising. Basically a Zelda open world game for Sony lol.

Tales of Arise is so good. I'm surprised it's not WAY more popular. I think the anime aspect turns a lot of people off which is a shame because the combat is legit so dope.

I sorta missed Ratchet & Clank on the PS2. I first played it when it was on PS3, Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction was my first introduction to the franchise and I loved it ever since. Played A Crack in Time and Into the Nexus and thought those were great too👍

great compilation, and without a doubt Returnal is a great game that will become a cult over time. Your video is a few months old but if anyone reads this I can recommend Horizon Forbidden West which looks and plays great on PS5 and also Sifu, another great indie game with very satisfying combat and also makes great use of Dualsense.
My favorite's to play on "PS5 are "Spider-Man Remastered "Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut "God of War with the Enhanced graphics. Final Fantasy 7 Remake. . . . Very good video these are definitely the best selection 👍🏼
These were literally the first games I played on my PS5 in that exact order, minus FF7. Refuse to purchase a Final Fantasy game in separate installments. I still own the original playstation game, that had 4 discs to begin with.
I'm yet too get a Playstation 5, realistic I do not think I will get one before Restock became better. Life had learn patiance always reward at the end of the day. Horizon forbidden west its the game I would get. Havn't played Horizon zero dawn, watch story recap of it instead. The gameplay ability to dive/ explore underwater its a must for me in open world games! Educated commersial diver in real life.

Returnal is definitely the first game that you should play once you get the PS5. And pls make sure that you have the pulse 3d headset and EQ adjusted for the best effects. (If you have song xb series headset then connect it to the controller for even better sound effects) Even the way how you can feel the rain drops in your controller and the audio effects are mind blowing ❤️

Nit sure if he has his own setup on it on uses default ones, I would also like to know. Actually it would be great if games had audio setup recommendations for the best immersion with them
3D Audio does not require special headphones. The whole reason for Sony developing it rather than using Atmos (for example) was so you didn’t need special hardware. EQ is equalisation and can now be adjusted on the PS5 to your presence. Again completely independent of the headset. Having said that the Sony cans sound good but no better than any other decent headset.
That’s exactly what I said the first time I played it. It’s overwhelming getting so far and then loosing it all and having to start from the very beginning. But don’t think of it like that. This is a bad example but think of it like tetris. Every time you die you’re gonna start from the very bottom of the pile every single time. Good luck!

Can't believe you psyched us out with that "Calla Doody" as number 1 lol I just completed "Death Stranding: Director's Cut". It's only because of my ridiculous backlog that I was ready to finish after playing it for 110 hours, but now that it's done? I kind of miss it! That ending was a little annoying, because ninjas snuck into my house and started slicing onions. I don't like to fall off a game, but I got to get back to "Returnal" and finally get past the dreaded Biome 3. My only concern is: has it been too long???

I haven't played video games since I was a kid (now in my 40's). It seems like most games out there are just a 1st/3rd person shooter. Aside from the sports/racing games, are there any different genres?
We need more awesome PlayStation RUclipsrs. So drop more videos! You can make a video on Horizon, and what fans can expect in sequel. Some points are: Swimming and full underwater exploration. Paragliding. Climbing like Assassin's Creed & more verticality in world design. Grapple hook. In-game board-game & 'card'/piece collection. Arenas with online leaderboards. Settlements/villages are even more alive and busy now. Storm formations like vortexes. Crafting is more involved now. Deeper skill trees, gear customization & work benches. 60 fps mode on PS5.

Personally I miss Ratchet & Clank on the PS2 I remember playing Ratchet & Clank on the PS2 going commando is my favorite game I played into the Nexus with a friend it wasn't that great yes the graphics are better but I miss Ratchet and Clank on the PS2 I played spyro the Dragon on PS2 as well and completed both games 100% this was back when you could rent a PS2 and you only had 3 days or a week at Max
I sorta missed Ratchet & Clank on the PS2. I first played it when it was on PS3, Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction was my first introduction to the franchise and I loved it ever since. Played A Crack in Time and Into the Nexus and thought those were great too👍

A Crack in Time is the best. Going Commando is a close 2nd.
It's a common theme in game because the original Demon Souls introduced the mechanic on the ps3.

@@SuperJumpReviews Yeah I completely agree with you I actually brought it 2 days before it came out played it for about 4 or 5 hours and litterly gave up, which I was really upset with myself about but I think at the time I was heavily into Fallout 76 but ever since they released some Prime Gaming bonus stuff that even doe i have 2 accounts with Fallout 76 connected I couldn't download the stuff so don't think i'll ever play it again😁😂🤣. But yeah really wanna Platinum Death Stranding on the PlayStation 5 now to show my support. O yeah ya know what got me back into Death Stranding? great compilation, and without a doubt Returnal is a great game that will become a cult over time. Your video is a few months old but if anyone reads this I can recommend Horizon Forbidden West which looks and plays great on PS5 and also Sifu, another great indie game with very satisfying combat and also makes great use of Dualsense.

Returnal is definitely the first game that you should play once you get the PS5. And pls make sure that you have the pulse 3d headset and EQ adjusted for the best effects. (If you have song xb series headset then connect it to the controller for even better sound effects)

@@SuperJumpReviews I suppose he means the settings for audio. There are default FPS and bass settings and you can set up your own options. Nit sure if he has his own setup on it on uses default ones, I would also like to know.
Actually it would be great if games had audio setup recommendations for the best immersion with them
3D Audio does not require special headphones. The whole reason for Sony developing it rather than using Atmos (for example) was so you didn’t need special hardware. EQ is equalisation and can now be adjusted on the PS5 to your presence. Again completely independent of the headset. Having said that the Sony cans sound good but no better than any other decent headset.

returnal is a hard purchase for me cause u can't save the game and do something else. you got to play it straight through.
That’s exactly what I said the first time I played it. It’s overwhelming getting so far and then loosing it all and having to start from the very beginning. But don’t think of it like that. This is a bad example but think of it like tetris. Every time you die you’re gonna start from the very bottom of the pile every single time. Good luck!

I keep getting stuck on returnal. It it a good game, but locked down rooms early in the journey makes it harder to progress
Locked down rooms? You mean those room where they throw really tough enemies at you? Aren't those rooms optional?
@@SuperJumpReviews some are optional, but I do encounter rooms going into lock down mode as soon as I enter them. It makes it more anxious the need for survival so you don’t reset.
Can't believe you psyched us out with that "Calla Doody" as number 1 lol I just completed "Death Stranding: Director's Cut". It's only because of my ridiculous backlog that I was ready to finish after playing it for 110 hours, but now that it's done? I kind of miss it! That ending was a little annoying, because ninjas snuck into my house and started slicing onions. I don't like to fall off a game, but I got to get back to "Returnal" and finally get past the dreaded Biome 3. My only concern is: has it been too long???
