URB is unironically really good in this setting. his knowledge and passion for the game shine through here. it’s sad that he has had a lot of negative press throughout his life, albeit he does deserve the criticism for the things he has done. i’m grateful for the time we had him as our coach. he accomplished historical things that nobody can take away. and us die hard fans are eternally grateful. what a wonderful sport!!

So much respect for Notre Dame. This is the best team we have played against in decades. Both sides left everything on the field.
We understand very well your pain and have been in your shoes the past two years with at least two games we let slip away.
Notre Dame is clearly a team that is on the rise. Knew in advance of this game this would be a war and it lived up to its hype.

Look at the last play again. Number 71 didn't block anyone really. He would have blocked the 11th defender. People act like that extra guy would have had a free path to the running back. Notre Dame had 64.5 yards, all with 11 players to stop Ohio State, but they didn't. They were on their heels and tired. I don't think they would have stopped them. We'll never know.

@@ericwatson3490 Actually it was about the length of the football. The extra guy might have made a difference, but 71 didn't have anyone to block, the only reason it was close was because the DB came around and made the tackle from the side/behind. If the 11th payer was in the game and 71 effectively blocked him then the result is exactly the same.

If you look at that last play, yes the missing Notre Dame player would have lined up where the ball went but also #71 Josh Simmons had no one to block there so he curled to his right looking for a man to block. So even if they had lined up with 11 players, OSU still might have scored there depending on the blocking of Josh SImmons.

STOP !! PLEASE STOP !! Notre Dame keeps saying they would have had a penalty if they subbed another man... NO!! The Buckeyes subbed Trayanum into the game before the final play. It is not shown on this video but one will see an Official stopping McCord from getting the snap until about 14 seconds on the play clock. A play earlier, there was a time out on the field. After that time out, Notre Dame trotted out 10 players onto the field. No one on Notre Dame's side picked up on that. OSU threw an incomplete pass. Notre Dame still had 10 players on the field. Before the last play, Thee Buckeyes subbed Trayanum for Henderson. Notre Dame could have subbed a man in then but nnnnnnoooooooooooooo !! Notre Dame didn't realize they had 10 on the field. The Official stopped Thee Buckeyes from snapping the ball until the Defense had a chance to sub but nnnnnnoooooooooooooo !! CRICKETS from the Defense. So please stop saying Notre Dame would have been penalized for subbing.

Gotta love Urban Meyer. One of College football’s greatest coaches. And I personally believe he’s not finished coaching. In my opinion, Notre Dame will eventually fire or not extend Marcus Freeman’s contract, which will leave room for a job offer by Notre Dame to Urban Meyer to be the next head coach. Notre Dame will, and should make an historic contract offer, making Urban Meyer the highest paid coach in all of college football. Urban will lead them to the playoffs, but only God knows if they will win it all. Just remember, Urban Meyer will be the next head coach at Notre Dame. It’s just a matter of time. -Steve, Ohio Go Buckeyes!
