      @Couchtripper That's why these machines have a counterweight at the back. He's just gaining reach to push material down. It would be very different if he was trying to lift heavy material up, then I could see your point. How do you know if they tried this? Maybe they haven't tried it and the internet has many people with ideas that might help. I sure didn't say I was more cleaver, I have more respect for people than that.

    Instead of bucket touching strait to the hopper wall, you should install a scrapper plate to the bucket with springs between bucket and the scapper plate.
    This way the hopper wall will not be damaged because the springs will work as buffer .

      По моему, этому эксковаторщику, как не ставь, толку не будет. Впечатление такое, что он эксковатор вчера первый раз в жизни увидел.

    This is a stone crusher not a dirt crusher, the loads should be screened before it goes in the crusher, more than half of the load shouldn't be going in there just the stones, waste of time.

      Huh? It's an iron ore mine. All material is pay. Makes zero sense to screen anything because they want it as fine as possible. The more fines, the better.

    Are these scheduled clean ups or on an as needed job?? How often do to have to replace wear plates on the chutes?? I'm not a RUclips expert, like others here, but the operator shows real experience in knowing how deep to dig without damaging his equipment or the chutes themselves.
    Thanks

      Welcome to all you for yours opinion.
      But slow operation of excavator is used to resist or decrease from damaging of hopper liner plate.

      Какие желоба? Оператор не опытный походу или резину тянет, по этому и медленный такой.

      They replace wear pads basically when they’re stuffed. Periodic inspections weekly will determine when they’re replaced. No set time frame. They way I’ll sleep a process plant going for as long as possible before a shutdown

    If he turn the excavator side ways he could gain a few feet of reach,and yes it’s painful watching this. Good training video on what not to do.👍

    • @noisy7825
      @noisy7825 2 года назад

      By turning it sideways he could tip it over when going for the long reach. And there's nothing he can lay his bucket on when it's tipping. Great example of what not to do.

    Kinda pointless unless they need to work on the sheeting.......otherwise it is just going to build up again
    Having the dirt there acts as a cushion so the big boulders don't bash against the metal......i would leave the dirt there if it doesn't need to be cleaned

  • @tjbjornson154
    @tjbjornson154 2 года назад +4

    It might be a easier to do the job if the bucket on the excavator was flipped around to point away from the machine. Not sure how easy that is to set up without a quick connector on that machine in the field though. Thank you for the videos.

    Get an operator that can drive it well done in 5 minutes

    • @ggale2721
      @ggale2721 2 года назад

      The operator is clearing by feel not sight.
      He can't see down over the edge, it takes a slow methodical approach to not damage the tile wall.
      These so called RUclips pros would go as fast as they could and smash the shit out of the tiles.
      Then the same RUclips pros would call him a noob and a twat for going too fast..

    Wrong machine for the job they should invest in a longreach whit a tiltrotator and a bucket whitout teeths on it then they could remove that dumb hook thingy for clearing rock jams and just get s hammer for the long reach
