Cool videos, I’ve watched several of these offloading videos now and this does not seem to be the most skilled, efficient or safe crew
This video shows one of the most unsafe and risky unloading by unskilled people.
This reminds me of my childhood when my parents bought me a sandbox. The damn cat kept trying to bury me.
Seems the tether on the rod is for pulling on the holding planks as the whole weight of the pile sits above

@@extremechimpout It's definitely not. The conveyor can't stack sand that high only remove it with gravity assistance.
Wonder if the sand is bunkered so it can dry before being transported by truck. I know with sand, it being we can increase the weight significantly.

What is the purpose of those duck boards? Wouldnt they be better off just leaving the conveyor open?
No it would be too much weight on the conveyor belt and it wouldn’t allow it to work.

I feel like if they would allow the sides to come in they wouldn't have to work so hard. The sides can't slide in because they keep pulling the boards and the conveyor stays full😊
The water acts as a lubricant
It's already 3500 tons. a bit of water doesn't make any difference
