43 years ago right out of high school, i started driving logging truck in central Wisconsin. Tandem with a tag and a Barko loader that could lift and hold a full cord of fresh cut hardwood. Driving in the mud and ice with floatation tires on the front that were really good at going straight, not good on corners. Also drove on "frozen" swamp roads that moved under you as you held your breath until you crossed, and then one job had road cut into the side of a medium sized cliff just wide enough for the truck, but on snow and ice. I wish we had Go-Pros back then!

I have commented before on the camera angles and video you get are so good. The shots with the dozer pushing dirt were in my opinion ...FANTASTIC! It is not the same old thing in your videos as in others. GREAT JOB!

My work trousers have three lives, first at the postie job, second when they are past their postie use, I use them at home working, third, if they survive those two, they end up as shorts to use in the garden!!!

I used to watch to see the work, equipment and the various jobs as the variety is great. Now I watch to see the daily competition and banter between you two. Quite funny. Never laughed out loud for someone to stay stuck before..........thought you were going to get out of it there for a moment until you let off.

Needs some extension ears on the tailgate and a heavy Flat Bar link back to the Anchor point on the Body - either side - to let the tailgate flex and lift higher

The dozer has too much mud inside the tracks. A small shovel to leave the dirt behind would be nice.😂Thanks for another great video Mike.

Love the time-lapse of the dozer! What kind of camera did you use? Ive been using the DJI OSMO, it works pretty good but the closeup stuff has been blurry......

never got to run the newer stulf i remember piling brush after st hellens wenty off then haling logs thair also with a55 KW A 259 Cummins With Mack Revers Camals DD rears 44s.
Not sure about how the trees differ species wise from one side of the globe to the other, but down here poplar is the best choice for hungry boards and truck decks, flexible without cracking and snapping like pine and oak dies once it dries/seasons out.

Aaron after a while you will be able to see exactly where the truck should be it's not really a picky thing it that we want the truck in the best spot for the use of the escavators you'll get it brother after a bit it will become so simple like a natural thing besides that you are doing kinda good keep going and don't let Dirty frustrate you it all good THUMBS UP MY NEWBY FRIEND

Mike, why didn't you use the brush as the roadbed while hauling the scrap off? clear it, run it over with the dozer or excavator and you have a roadbed that gives traction over the mud.
Wast to much time not worth it
used to run a D6 with a Brush Rack Worked Great.
Watching Mike try a power through those trees backwards was painful and priceless at the same time.

My Ariat Ground Breakers are still the best work boots I've ever had. I initially stretched out all the pinch points and then saturated them with SofSole waterproofing and my feet stay dry even standing in ankle deep water. My Lincoln Electric Light Khaki welding jacket has been less durable - the sweat salt has apparently broken down the fibers in the sleeve ends and they're in tatters now. I'm buying another one though and I'll be more vigilant about washing it this time because otherwise it's just right for a work jacket and I even wear it in really hot weather because it keeps my T shirt underneath soaked in sweat and that keeps me cooler overall.

Doesn't matter what tires you run, once they get packed with clay they are all drag slicks at that point. I'll make two good attempts in low, then just tell the customer its too muddy to get in, but I'm in an 18 wheeler not a 10 wheeler. Plus you generally have something around to pull yourself out with.
Aaron I would have done the same thing, let the guy that owns the truck break it. You have to have a lot of seat time in a truck before you really get a feel for what it can and can't do. I hate having to switch trucks at work because I am so used to mine, that the little differences between the other two trucks throws me off.

I’ve got the same ariat boots and it seems like they fit a bit tight taking them off even though I got 1/2 size bigger than I normally wear, just wondering if others had the same experience. Same for you? I’ve got to have the wide ones too, one thing ariat doesn’t offer is enough of their boots in wide width.
Side note: How do I get the hat you’re wearing in today’s video. The camo like you’re wearing isn’t available in the dirt perfect store.
