a little angry at myself that I noticed the Latin influences in the song (and especially the pre-chorus) and didn't say anything! but yeah, she definitely had a lot of influences, and the more I think about it the more early 2000s it sounds. I do still think we are seeing a lot more 90s in kpop, but I'd be so curious to hear all of your thoughts on exactly where the inspiration of the different parts of the song came from. either way, this song has been on repeat since I filmed this!! if not soty than what are we doing?

It definitely has the influences of the 2000s. You hear a same little melody of Crazy in Love by Queen B on the chorus and an interpolation of Amerie's One Thing during the dance break. Stylistic wise it also reminds viewers of Britney S. especially the library scene and somewhat Lee Hyori another icon in the late 90s to early 2000s.
I personally love how there's representation of different eras in the video and depicting the message that no matter what nor where you will love this version of NAYEON. Which takes us back to the name of the EP "NA" that means "me" another wordplay of her name just like her debut IM NAYEON.
