I give most credit to the actual artists, the dress makers themselves and their incredible skills with a single needle and thread. Amazing talent! Bravo!
My mum would have been fascinated by this. She started her 7 year apprenticeship as a dressmaker in Bond Street, London in 1930 when she was 14. She designed my wedding dress to fit the headdress I had fallen in love with - a pearl and diamante covered French hood a la Anne Boleyn style with a curl into the cheek. The dress had the Tudor neckline with 3 rows of pearls. Puffed lower sleeves went into a jewelled cuff, the lower sleeve being covered by a lace oversleeve that dropped to around the knee. The train was made as part of the back of the dress, around 6' in length and embroidered with pearls and diamante Tudor roses. The fabric etc. cost us £35 in 1976. It was gorgeous.

I wonder how much £35 is worth in 2020. The first time I went to a fabric store I was surprised and embarrassed to find out how expensive a lace fabric can be!

It is a specialist iron, a tailors steam iron and they have not changed much in design over the years.
Never heard of him !! full of knowledge and understanding clothes.. respect
He is one of the best Lebanese designers along with Elle Saab, Zuhair Murad and other Lebanese.

I have a wedding card to make for some dear friends soon and this idea...is going to be quite useful. Absolutely beautiful piece of fashion.
