@@Fcutdlady Nah, they're right. The next project he did after the Barnum revival in 84-86 was Phantom of the Opera. The information was also in the Wikipedia article you linked, so maybe that'll give you a bit of a clue.

Good Gawd! WHAT a HUNK! Just smokin HOT! And to think, at this small interview, he might have had the score of Phantom and singing his role for the first time before ALW offered him his role. Such a creative "Tour de Force!" Such a splendid specimen of a male. Kind, humble, generous and SOOO easy on the eyes! I was OVERJOYED to see that they'd filmed Barnum for all of us never privileged to see him live in action! How I wish "Billy" was out there too!
Anyway, Michael, you're just a gem and I've been inLOVE with you since Hello Dolly!

I weep knowing I missed my REAL chance to audition for Hal Prince when POTO first arrived on Broadway (in '88), when I was 18 and had been learning Christine's part and notes for over a year. I have a personal connection to the book, my real legal name is similar to Christine and when both Erik and Michael were "training" MY voice also, well, I fell for him even more once I'd got on top of her HIGH E, something "happened" to me and it was (like how Michael described his own possession by the Phantom from the music), I'd felt something similar but I never knew that abt him til much later. Made it all worse for me. Never gotten over it really and despite his age, my feelings for him have never diminished. 😞💘
