I was the head sound engineer on the Manchester and Victoria Palace shows… Michael was without question an exceptionally hard worker, he used to lose 7lbs a day just doing the show and all its attendant routines. He wasn’t always the easiest person to work for but he could be really funny and often surprisingly generous.
I had no idea this video existed. I had always heard about the rigorous training he underwent for this role, but to actually see him doing it... It's astounding. Such dedication is a wonder to behold. Michael Crawford is just the best.
I have never seen this. Thank you so much for uploading . It just shows what an absolute superstar Michael is. So dedicated to everything he does and so utterly committed. He is such a perfectionist. He is the best thing ever to happen to theatre and film with a singing voice that totally moveds me to tears. Amazingly talented. Absolutely love him and everything he does. You are a legend Michael and we all love you.

AGREED! And he truly had the voice of an Angel! I have loved that man since I was 16. Am 45 now. Can't say enough about Michael. He IS the Phantom! What more can be said?! 🥰
That's they Michael does 100 % in to what ever he does and puts hours of work in to it respect should be rewarded and he does everything he does stay safe lots of love to Michael Crawford always Glynis Alexandra xxxxxxxxx ❤ 💖
I used to be a massive Crawford fan until I heard from friends who were in Barnum with him. He was terribly selfish and would call a full cast rehearsal even though it was purely for him to perfect a routine he could have rehearsed on his own. Not popular!
