KackisHD there is a way to farm hive because I got the wizards and it took me a half an hour to get the perk. You go to the dreadnaught, go to the court and in the back there will be a yellow healthed wizard. And there will be two red healthed wizards on both paths in the court. They keep spawning when you keep switching sides to sides
I did the Worlds Grave mission 4 times and got the perk cannibalism! Wizards are by far the easiest!
The starting area on the dreadnaught has quite a few wizards that spawn.

depending on what you have to kill. the ally has different perks. crowd control for killing trall. shoots through knights shields if you have to kill knights. and wizards has a chance to be disoriented if you have to kill the wizard

just wanted to add that I have learned there are "3" different husk of the pit's. one is for killing thrall one is for killing knights and the 3rd is for killing wizards. all of which once turned into iedolons ally have different perks ie. thrall= crowd control. knights= glass half full and wizards I'm not sure yet.

If you do get wizards, on the dreadnaught just outside the court of oryx, while facing the court there is a spawn door right of the hallway. If you stand against the back wall a wizard will spawn about 15 secs after killing and getting back in place. Also don't forget to use your primary telemetries. Hope this helps your wizard husk drops.

if you get the wizard version you can do the sunless cell strike and farm wizards there. at the beginning when you have to go to two different "islands" and activate them; one on the right and left, that part will spawn 8 wizards at a time.
Was looking at this at work, listening in on how to get it. So, I got home, popped in Destiny on my PS4, and jumped back on the Weekly Story Playlist. As soon as I offed an Ogre, it dropped a white Engram, which turned out to be the Husk of the Pit 0_0

I was uninformed because age of triumph just came out and there were no videos about this at the time, but i was farming the blade of crota for the husk of the pit and then just gave up. After that, I went on to do a weekly challenge of the elders and in the end when I opened up my inventory to check the gear i got , the husk of the pit was there! I was literally so happy and dumbfounded at the same time lol!
I hate how Destiny makes you do raids to get exotics. I have no people to do raids.

You don't need to do raids to get Exotics. Strikes and Nightfalls drop all the time when you beat the bosses with a 3 of Coins on.

I hope they bring this back in the Crota raid. If they bring that raid back in D2. Like you have to do the raid in order to get the Husk of Pit to drop and doing the raid helps progress the weapon faster.
Crotas end should be a dungeon if it was coming back in my opinion

Kackis nailed it here , the Ogres drop them frequently, i got two, but continued to farm the NF, because it will require you to either kill Knights, Thralls, or Wizards. I kept farming the husk till i got the thrall version its the easiest to complete.
Never thought I'd be back to this channel because of this game, oh well
I'm sad because I started this year and got my own Bone Husk before this but I couldn't get a damn Crux of Crota.

Guys if you get wizard kills for husk of the pit don't dismantle it, just load lost to light, go to the first darkness zone and keep killing the first wizard there and wiping
I'm actually happy that Bungie made a 1-2 day quest for this weapon, it's also very good for this weeks strikes. I love it, it's fun as hell.
Had the last part of the quest to do Crotas End in my log for months.... I'm a solo player so I didn't think I'd get it, got tired of seeing the quest in my log so I ended up solo'ing 390 CE... Nechrocasm is a fun gun to use, glad I dealt with the frustration of learning the raid. Great vid, hope to see you continue in Destiny 2

I got Husk of the Pit from "The Abomination Heist" Strike.
First try too. You got lucky with the Kill Thralls for Cannibalism Node, I got Wizards.
Siege of the Warmind on Earth is probably the best mission for thrall. This is because several waves of them spawn if you stand near the door to go inside of the control room. Plus you can jump off as soon as they stop spawning. I got it done within about 15 wipes
farming for wizards was a 20 minute grind on the dreadnought, just outside the court of oryx, just run back and forth on the outer ring crossing the entrance to CoO and those 2 wizards on either side respawn relatively quick. enjoy

I've been wrecked a few times with this I don't know why he said it wouldn't make any big changes in pvp what else can shoot 15 rounds per second ur wrecked in half a clip
It took me 83 completions to get the original Crux of Crota. Thank god this is an easier way to get the Necrochasm.

Just to help out if u accidently get the husk on another character and upgrade it to eidolon ally u can put it in ur vault and if u switch characters it will go onto the last part of the quest
+KackisHD if i might add, if u are lucky enough to get the thrall husk. use a primary telemetry and a class item that upgrades auto rifles at a higher rate. Awesome vid as usual. keep'em coming!
I wish I had seen this earlier---but still helpfull... I just didn't know about the thrall mode and it wouldn't upgrade with modes of light,,,ssooooooo it took about a month to upgrade. Thank You and I

I found out an easy way to farm for wizards, on the Dreadnaught. Go to the big room where you would start the Kings Fall raid on normal patrol and there is 2 wizards on each side of the room on the outside, go kill one and go to the other and kill it and just keep repeating that, they spawn one after another.
I ran this strike last night (not nightfall though but did it on hard mode, not easy) and the Husk of the Pit dropped from the first Ogre, Ironically I had an older Husk (light level 80) in my primary weapon inventory, one that I got from the Fist of Crota in The Taken King. :-)
I got two husk of the pit in one strike (the will of crota).

I got Knights for mine. I farmed them for about 30 minutes on the "Bad Blood" mission on earth. The part where all the hive come out of the containers is 4 knights per wipe. I needed about 100
I finally got the fucking gun!!!! It took me months. There's a app called destiny companion or some shit that can help you make fireteams if you have no one that plays the game so you can play the raid!
@Kackis - On Tankis strike, if you don't jump at spawn, the shriekers won't open. Just spawn and walk around the side and then down and the shriekers will stay dormant.

Important note: if u get wizards for your husk of the pit, there are 4 wizard spawns at/around the court of Oryx on the dreadnaught. (Not in the actual court just around.) A yellow bar spawns in front of the court, then 1 hangs out on either side (these are the annoying wizards that try and snipe you from far outside the court when u are doing an event there. Very annoying.) And if u go to the right tunnel, passing the wizard there and keep going you will get to another room where one spawns on the ledge balcony. The spawns seem to be offset because I have yet to see all 4 be alive at the same time but by running between the points, you can get a somewhat steady supply of kills for them, although it still does take a while. Good luck!
Of note, I had thrall as a goal for the HotP, but I killed Hive too, and it levelled up with all my Hive kills.
I've played destiny from year one to rise of iron and am really excited for D2.

In the Dreadnaught Patrol I farmed Wizards back behind the pit of Oryx. There are 3 normals that re spawn almost as fast as it takes to kill the one across from them.

Exotic rifles tend to have mix matched models. Red Death is a pulse rifle with an autorifle design, Hard Light is an autorifle with a pulse rifle design, and the Jade Rabbit's original design based on the Stranger's Rifle, a pulse rifle design, was a scout rifle.

Guys listen if you get a husk of the pit where you have to kill wizards just go to the kningsfall start area and go between the 2 doors as wizards spawn there, by the time you have killed a wizard on one side there will be another wizards on the other door entrance

actually, for wizards go to the patrol. the hall by the trials has wizards on left and right sides. just run back and forth. 5 mins your done

just to let a lot of you know because the wizard husk of the pit is easy if you go to the dreadnought and go to the rune area and go left and right between its two entrances to the area and the wizards keep respawning. I hope this helps

I found a husk running patrols on the Dreadnought yesterday, from either a knight or acolyte, it required knights to upgrade, which was not a big issue since I was already running patrols on the Dreadnought. Sadly I'm a newbie with 260ish light, so I can't upgrade it to necrochasm yet, but eidolon ally is by far my best gun, so I'm enjoying anyway (and I just stored that big pile of motes for later)
Also farming wizards for it isn't that bad.
Go to the temple of Crota on the mood. There are about 7 wizards from one end of the hellmouth to the other.
Rinse and repeat. I did it in about an hour.
Got my husk of the pit yesterday through the weekly heroic story when killing a ogre at the start of the mission. Took me 2 tries but finally got the yr 3 version. Had to kill a lot of wizards so I just done a few laps around the court of Oryx. Before I knew it I was done. I'm currently on step 4 & all I need to do is kill Crota.

Great info! I was lucky and got the Husk to drop fm the Summoning Pits weekly heroic strike this past week. Just watched ur video to see what was after the Crota's End Raid. Just need to find a Xbox group to raid with and finish this.

I got two husks drop on the same Omnigul strike. Both thrall, and personally I'd say Seige of the Warmind is better for farming.
use siege of the warmind to get knights kill the 2 knights then jump off the edge. you need from 70-80 knight kills to upgrade husk of the pit.
No, you can get it from defeating any normal hive in any mission, doesn't matter the level of the mission. You can also get it from patrolling . My main one of these I had to kill about 25 knights which was easy.
If u have knights go to the black spindle story mission and farm knights at the end
Recommend getting the husk if the pit from the fists of Croat quest instead
It's said if you put it on heroic, the story mission gives more xp to the husk

If you want the husk of pit go to the shine of oyx mission on moon get half way to the end of the mission then there will be an ogre keep killing it until you get the husk from it and if it doesnt drop the first time just wipe off the cliff

Depending on what the cannibalism requires gives the Eidolon Ally different perks. If knights, get the free perk to shoot through knights dark shield, Thrall gives agility buff on thrall kill, Wizard gives the ability to have a chance to disorient wizards on hit.
Special tip for you guys the easiest way to get husk of the pit stuff is to play the hive wave of the prison of elders mission skollas revenge
Play the first wave of that mission of by your self and you should be able get lots of them especially if you keep dieting on that round

I had a second quest,, I showed my only legendary version and it completed the step even tho I didn't upgrade any other husk of the pit.. If I get rewards from completing the qeusts it will be nice

I found the easiest way to get the husk is from the hive ogres in prison of elders, lvl 28 or lvl 41, Ik I’m a little late but who knows

For knights load up the first sleeper sim quest and do the same thing
If you have a Knight Husk, just go to the spawn area of the dreadnaught, you can kill 3-5 knights easily there

TIPS for Cannibal node (thrall)
- killing thrall in the Abyss encounter (Crota's End) does NOT go toward node
- The Fist of Crota story mission (hard mode) has more thrall than The Dark Beyond and is a much quicker mission. Completed node in about 7 runs.
Just run Omingul to get the husk. I had two drop in my first run.
