Adam looks like some kind of musician with the colorblind glasses. 😎 Glad to see the update! I was watching the stream whenever Withmoore donated for the glasses. It's crazy how much they have helped Adam.
I started trying to wear my actual prescribed glasses again, it always gives me little headaches when I'm not used to it but eases up once I've used them awhile. Love how excited Steph is about Adam seeing the difference in the cupcakes yall are too precious.
I also got headaches from my prescriptions, and turns out that they were a bit unnecessarily strong for my eyes. Might not be that case for you of course, but worth thinking about!
Question from a person that doesn't need them but is just curious Does anyone find it easier to start wearing them like, half an hour before you have to do a color-related job, as to give your eyes just enough time to adapt, instead of wearing them the whole day? Does the switch hurt more than just keeping them because you have to adapt? (Of course I know that habit plays a really big role here, along with personal preference)
I didn’t even realize this was just posted! 😂 Very excited for the colorblind content! I have a friend that has the same color blindness as Adam, and he’s also an artist. He struggles with using colors, and I think videos like these would help him to see that he’s not alone in his struggles.
So much awesome: Adam's growing skill in colour recognition, Steph's proud reactions, Steph's hat, the guinea pigs, and the MVP who donated the money for the glasses whose name escapes me ATM edit: Withmoore! ♥️
I love how excited is Steph is for Adam's explanation of the cupcake. As a non-colourblind person, it is very cool to get Adam's perspective on experiencing colour.
I'm so glad the Pantone Postcards got to you. And the fact that Adam can see the difference between two similar colors with his new glasses makes this even better.
@@WateryStar I had ordered these before learning that someone had donated them the money to get the colorblind glasses. But it certainly ended up working out for the better.
Colour blind struggles is a great video idea! It never occured to me, as someone who has a better than most handle on colours, that things like crossing the street could be difficult, but when Adam said it, it was so obvious that it would be. It would be great for awareness honestly.
I love how happy and excited steph was through out the video! Adam has become so well at distinguishing colors! Honestly adam's descriptions of colors is really accurate I am very excited to see what color combos he picks now!
It’s really cool to see Adam looking at all the different colors and how he reacts to them. I’m not color blind but I do find it intriguing, I am definitely interested in hearing more about how things were for Adam growing up and seeing him get to experience new colors now that he has indoor and outdoor glasses.
My fiancé has been waiting for this video. He has protanopia and has the outdoor enchromas. He watched your last one where Adam opened the indoor ones and was excited to see his review. He appreciates how honest you are about them, and how you even mentioned “color perception”. He’s not an artist, but he’s a gaming RUclipsr and misses out on items because he can’t see the colors.
Hullo Guys! I am so glad that you are experiencing so much success with these glasses! I have always wondered how Adam was able to color his artwork so well without being able to see the subtle differences between colors and their shades and tints! I hope you continue to share your successes and failures with these glasses and how they are impacting your life and art! Thanks again for sharing your amazing adventures with us! Please take care, be safe and enjoy your afternoon!
Awwwwwwwwwww soooo sweeeet! I love that there is a way for you to explore colors more fully. I’m so happy for you to have gotten both pairs of glasses.
Van Gogh was probably colorblind! So Adam might have a really cool advantage in picking interesting color palettes. Thanks to Adam for being so open and talking about this and Steph for helping to explain everything!
AHHHHH I love this video so much!!!!!!! You guys are so cute ahhh!!! and the guineas!!!!!! I AM OBSESSED!!!!!! got-a watch this about a thousand times now byeeeeee
I feel like the grays might be harder to see with the glasses just because the glasses are tinted red, so it's going to make them look more pink than they would otherwise.
Very wholesome video 🥺 the guinea pigs adorable. Used to have 4 with my family. Mine was an albino called snowball (very creative, i know) Also love to learn about colourblindness and all that jazz, really funny how the eyes work. Keep up the amazing content, you bring a smile to all our faces. 🤗
Thanks for sharing & being willing to answer a bunch of questions! It's quite interesting for those of us with normal color vision--and gives a glimpse into your world.
So many great video ideas in this video! The Pantone will be fun! I’d love to see Adam retry the sunflower girl, maybe on twitch stream and you can pull clips from it and make it into a RUclips short
So happy that Adam has been enjoying the indoor glasses! And I can just feel Steph's excitement through the screen! PS do you remember where you got that absolutely adorable croc plush from?? I need that cutie patootie!!
Brilliant video again. Ten points for the amazing hat and the immortal Christmas tree. So delighted your generous viewer was able to get these for you. You’ve attracted such wonderful people around you. All hail the mighty Withmoore.
ohh id love to see adam make a mixing chart with his watercolours or markers and see if that helps him name the hues (reddish, greenish, blueish, etc) of what he sees
Pardon me for being ignorant in this case. But, did both Brindle and Bumble pass? I knew one did when you'd gotten Creston but I dont believe I recognize Patches, when did you get him?
@@DoodleDate wow I must really be out of touch. I'm only on and off on videos about 7 months back to now. Perhaps I just forgot then, my memory isn't too great. Thank you though.
Thank the babies for perfect guinea asmr! And thanks Adam for being vulnerable and sharing your colour journey! I think many artists wonder about color and how the world sees and relates to it, so it's so important to get other reflections involved!
A note about the Pantone post cards you opened up. The box said Pantone 100 cards. And the first card you looked at was Pantone 100. The color on the box looked like straight up yellow. Names like Pantone 100 are used as a soloist color in offset printing, rather than CMYK printing, where you can see printed dots under a magnifying glass. Typically, anymore, solid Pantone colors are used for customers that expect specific colors for their brands. A two color business card would use a solid color, a card being printed by a company with inexpensive prices would be printed CMYK. At that point, an area that looks like Pantone 100 would be represented by small dots, because CMYK printing doesn’t use white. The formula for PMS 100 is about 97% transparent white and about 3% yellow. I miss the print shop days…sigh.
The Pantone post card idea is so good! I really hope you guys do it, even as a series it would be cool! You two can blindly pick a card for each other each episode and you can spend the video planning and drawing on them! That’d be cool! Plus it’s a pretty easy video to execute.. i think 😅 Would love to see you guys give it a try at some point!
It’s really interesting to see Adam talk about how purple still seems blue in one instance or with the “orchid bloom” pantone card that it might seem blue and first but something seems off. I have a feeling that as he wears the glasses more and has more reference for what purple is that the distinction will be easier. Color perception is super interesting and this is a good short video on how it can be affected by language: ruclips.net/video/mgxyfqHRPoE/видео.html . I’m no color science expert but I expect that the language connection might be to do with how our brain categorizes color and that differences between colors may be easier to see when we have them in different “categories”. I wouldn’t be surprised if people that for instance work at pantone or something and are immersed in naming/categorizing colors would think that color variations of stuff that seems subtle to the average person are super obvious.
It's great to see they work so well! Will you continue to where them when you make art? What's it like if you've been wearing the glasses for a while and then take them off, or switch between glasses on and glasses off while looking at things? I'm so curious and love these videos. 😊
I think it would be fun to do a pinks and teals video where you first colour something without the glasses, and then try to recreate it with, but do so how you meant to colour it.
What is it like to wear the inside glasses outdoors? What makes them different? I’ve been considering getting some, but I can’t afford to get both styles.
Oh and also us non colorblind people also have problems sometimes to distinguish colors the darker it is. Atleast I do. If I have wooden color pencils and its dim inside I can confused allot of colors.
Adam, did you edit this video while wearing the glasses? It may just be coincidence, but the colour balance came out particularly nice for this video. Also, I love that facts measuring tape. Putting it on my (mental) wish list right away.
I wonder adam even when you aren't wearing the glasses can you like remember the colours inside of your head or dream in those colours that you have seen with thr glasses? or do you forget what they look like until you put on the glasses again?
Adam, can you see cyan blue without the colorblind glasses, or just with them? Cyan's like the super bright blueish that shows up super bright on computer
Ya know, that cupcake drawing... I don't think it's so much that Adam used pink where blue was supposed to be. If you look at the icing swirl pattern, I think it was meant to be a pink and blue swirl and the majority of each color just happened to end up on each side? Does anyone know what I mean, lol?
Adam looks like some kind of musician with the colorblind glasses. 😎
Glad to see the update! I was watching the stream whenever Withmoore donated for the glasses. It's crazy how much they have helped Adam.
I can't stress enough how much our community has and continues to help and support us! We love you all so much and love making content for you all ❤️
Yeah, Bono from U2 wears pink toned glasses a lot! I think he wears them for light sensitivity from glaucoma.
Haha imagine if he broke out the bongos with them on it would be a Look

the pantone colours are a great idea to judge colour since the colours are supposed to be the same and really really accurate
Awww. I love you both's relationship.
