+Cynthia Richter You are welcome,Cynthia! I hope it helps you! I began to draw faces myself, 4 years ago watching RUclips artists. I share what I've learned so far, to provide some help in someone else's attempt. All it takes is a lot of practice! Tfw! =D
I really struggle with shading, and this helped tremendously! I'd previously spent $5 for a printable "zine" that ultimately was complete rubbish. And here you are, offering something better for free! Thank you for sharing!
You are very welcome!!! And thank you so much for letting me know that you find this helpful, it makes me very happy! Have an awesome and creative day! ❤️❤️❤️
Wow....wow I've watch tons of instructional videos on drawing/ shading/painting and skin tones. This is by far one of the best tutorials. I was extremely happy with the outcome of my face drawing after watching this. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and share your talent.
I love that napkin. She came out adorable. I really like your face tutorials. I'm going to be practicing them a lot in the near future. You break it down into very manageable steps and references. Thank you!
+Ashs Vision Thank you very much! I'm so happy you like my tutorials! They are the basic steps I have in mind when I draw a face - steps I've figured out by watching other artists - and steps I think everyone can do. All it takes from there on, is practice and finding your own style of drawing the eye, the nose, the mouth etc. Have fun with your practice! xxx
Eleni, thank you SOOOOOO Much! for this wonderful Face. I have no talent to draw yet and this is a perfect method, to learn about the proportion and coloring! Thanks so much for sharing!!!! Hugs
Wow, never seen a face drawn like this, at first look so cartoony. After colour & shading looks amazing! Thanks for sharing your method. When I am feeling better I will give this a go! I love it! Truly talented. New subscriber & saved this video to watch again! Many thanks 💕👌🏼🎨
Wow !!! Thank you SO much for doing this tutorial I followed along on the drawing part and am SO pleased with my result :-) am going to have to go out now and get some paints to finish her :-) am hoping the painting part will go just as well :-) again thank you ..... your so very talented :-)
Congratulations on 100 subbies!! Well deserved indeed 😄 Thank you so much for sharing your talent, I have learned so much from you. Be well 🌺 Elizabeth
Thank you, Vicki! They are called blending stumps or tortillions ,,, they are for shading… if you don’t want to use your fingers!...haha… Tfw! Have an awesome and creative day!❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻❤🤗 I found the pen eraser in a local art shop ...But since then I found that the Tombow Mono Zero Eraser, (Rectangle and Round) is the best pen eraser there is.😉🎨 As for a girl with darker skin... I'll try to figure out what colors to use for the shading and I'll try to make a video soon. 🤗❤😘
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I really love your whimsical girls! They are gorgeous! May I ask what brand of watercolors and which ones did you use for this tutorial elenisartstuff? Where can I purchase these? Thank you so much for the download!
Thank you so much! 💕💕💕The watercolors are “Colorations Classroom Watercolor Paint Compacts”… I got them as a gift so I don’t know where to get them, but as they are student grade watercolors any brand will do. 😉
Wow! Gorgeous girl! Congrats on 100 subbies! Do you have two channels? I was subbed to Aquarius Artist, and it had the link to this channel? Is there a difference in the two channels? Sorry, just a little confused and curious! LOL! I've subbed this one, too. I see lots more subbies in your future, and I'm not even a fortune teller! 😉 Thanks for sharing!

Nevermind! I just figured it out! She just used your printable in her art journal. I get it now! Duh! LOL!
It's a regular pen/stick type retractable eraser that erases everything... you just have to be careful to not erase too hard on the lines you want to keep. 😉
I’m no expert on this but I figured out that when painting with watercolors it is difficult to smooth out the edges of were the shadowed and highlighted areas meet, with only the watercolors. So in my experience you have three options…. Leave it as it is …. Smooth it out by using only water on the brush… or by using an acrylic “wash” over it. The “wash” you can make by mixing acrylic and water or by mixing acrylic and medium. I prefer to use acrylic skin color mixed with matt medium, like I did in this video. Hope this helps,Bridgette. Tfw! 💕💕💕

Great tutorial! I'm new to art. What kind of gadget did you use for shading?
Thanks a lot,Debra!
Thanks so much! Hard to believe you're fairly new at this. Gorgeous!
I love how the page came out. I was wondering can you do a darker skin girl? Also where did you find the eraser in pen form?
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻❤🤗 I found the pen eraser in a local art shop ...But since then I found that the Tombow Mono Zero Eraser, (Rectangle and Round) is the best pen eraser there is.😉🎨
As for a girl with darker skin... I'll try to figure out what colors to use for the shading and I'll try to make a video soon. 🤗❤😘
Awesome thank you. I will look for the Tombow eraser. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Love this,do you have a book out
Thank you so much!🙏💗😊... this is my hobby so sorry...no book. 🙃😘😘
Wow. Did you use matte medium at the end? For mixing or highlights? I mean blending ?
Thank you! Yes, that is the “wash” made with acrylic skin color and matt medium to smooth it all out. 💕💕💕
TFS and your finished page was beautiful. What were you using for the shading?
+Emma Lou Thank you very much, Emma Lou! You are welcome! For the shading I used blending stumps.
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I really love your whimsical girls! They are gorgeous! May I ask what brand of watercolors and which ones did you use for this tutorial elenisartstuff? Where can I purchase these? Thank you so much for the download!

What kind of eraser you use that don't eraser your main lines?
It's a regular pen/stick type retractable eraser that erases everything... you just have to be careful to not erase too hard on the lines you want to keep. 😉
elenisartstuff Oh ok thank you!!
I just can seem to be able to blend my shadowed and highlights using watercolor only. Ugh.

I followed this technique, and I find it STUPIDDDDDDD!!!
Thank you for letting me know! Although it doesn’t affect me or my techniques in any way, I’m glad you got it off your chest! ️❤️
@@elenisartstuff Hi! It's just that the "EYES" really went "overboard", but I used your techniques , anyways! Sorry ... TFS
