Yes, I agree. The top part of my headphones are disintegrating and it needs to be changed. If anyone has any suggestions or video references that would be awesome. Thanks!!
There’s 4 screws. 2 on each side of the “headband”. The screws are very small, and will be on the small metal strips on both sides of the band. This metal strips that say “studio” or “beats” or “monster”, depending on the model. Take these 4 screws off. Remove the small metal pieces. Then the headband will come off with a little bit of gentle pulling. You can buy a replacement by googling “beats headband replacement”. These headphones use cheap fake leather, so they start to break down after years of use.
Thank you, I just spent hours trying the apply pressure and twist way trying not to cause damage to my sons headphones. I then cam across this video and the plastic rim was off in a matter of minutes. Thanks ;-)
I have beat studio ones... bought the replacement pads, but when I took the old pads off they have the plastic screwed with 5 smalls screws... what am I doing wrong?
It is, but we don't make replacements for these and we also don't have videos on how. There are some videos on youtube if you look for "how to replace beats studio headband cushion"
Thank you. I can't believe I still have these cans from 15 years ago. This will bring them back to life.
You welcome!
Can you do a tutorial how to change the head part?
