He thinks his best is to return to his wife. And that's what he did. Then he tells you that he was before you because he wanted to do this at least once. That means he had feelings for you. But his feelings with his ex-wife were stronger. That's why he chose his ex-wife. Of course, he did something very wrong. Because he played with your feelings. This is a big crime. This one hurt. I actually cried. I felt her pain and I wish her nothing but the best.
This was so sad but so much respect for Adam. He was human, but he was truly honest with her and with his girl when it would have been so much less painful to do what was easy.

I can definitely relate to this story. He was heart broken, and I fixed him. I supported him. I cared for him. I loved him. But when his past came back, he left me heartbroken. He left me angry, sad, and confused, and every single moment I ask myself "where did I go wrong?" I still think of him to this day, even if they're still together, even if he loves her so much, not a single second of my life did he ever leave my mind. I just don't understand why they're still dating, she was just not the right one for him and he said it himself, or maybe I'm just bitter? I just hope he's happy, that's all. I'm so glad we met.

I (mid 20 something y/o) moved into new apt few months ago, randos for roommates but we got along really well. One roommate was a female, it became clear she was getting feelings for me. I tried to keep things platonic but I was also missing that kinda companionship of a relationship like cuddling and watching netflix, love that stuff. So next she made a pass, I let it happen. Sidenote: I was taking a break from dating to focus on "me" stuff. Had a falling out with my closest female friends that hit me hard, as well as my most recent exgf was horribly abusive so yeah. Anyway, I told roommate girl up front that I we could screw around but I did not want it to progress into a relationship, I know dumb right. The several weeks after we'd hook up maybe 1 or 2 times a week at the most, never going all the way but we'd sleep in the same bed during those times. One day we discussed breaking things off, which I agreed to figuring it was mutual and it was for the best. Or so I thought. Since Nov. she's been so distant, not the fun cheery person she usually is, spends most her time in her room. I try to talk to her about it; for me communication is the best way to solve issues, however shes very much the opposite. So ive been getting the cold shoulder and just learned yesterday she is looking to sublet her room and hasnt been back since before xmas. Though what i could get from her was that she's taking way harder than I thought. I feel really guilty and frustrated with myself for letting this happen; I knew she wasnt as experienced datingwise as most people our age but I didnt think it'd ever lead to this. I'm trying not to kick myself too too hard but I knew better and it still happened. Lesson learned i think for both of us. dang i really needed to get that off my chest
