Welcome back! I was just thinking I haven't seen something from you in a while, and then wala! Heh My guess is that a big ol' crystal like that would be susceptible to the shock of being dropped.
Nice to see you again, eh! Hope everything is well, eh! Keep the chin up, eh! 😊 Got a ?, do you offer any online courses for board diagnostics or the likes? eh. 😎
I have a sandisk similar to one you've fixed before. 2tb NVME. It has 100gb. The rest is unpartitioned. But nothing I do can fix it. If I try extending it, I get an error. I tried deleting all partitions I had 2 unallocated sections. It seems like it's a strange formatting issue to me. Is there a way to fix this or is it already dead? There is nothing on it I need, but it would suck if it's already dead. IT's pretty new.
Try to erase it with Victoria or any other similar utility. Erase approx. 100 MB from the beginning and try to partition it again. If you see previous partitions after erasing, the controller has blocked writing to the memory chips.
If you got WinHEX or some other hex editor, open sector 0. The very last 4 bites will be 55 AA for boot signature. You can change AA to anything else like BB for example. Then you should be able to format it into any length
Hi, just starting to learn soldering. What temperature and air flow do you set on your hot air station. you make it look easy and I always struggle removing stuff from the pcb and feel like a big dummy. thanks
There are data sheets for the components with the recommended soldering temperature and duration of exposure to heat. This provides orientation... and experience. Simply practise a little with scrap circuit boards... desolder, clean, solder again.
Good to see you on the channel. Thanks 👍
