I appreciate the video. I have a '23 and it honestly seems the same in terms of exhaust/pipe/chamber placement. I def wanna get rid of the mid chamber since it'll relieve my bike of 14-15lb. But when and if I do that, I was told that I'd need to tune the bike. Any insight or advice on that? I've also yet to buy a louder exhaust system. Esp because I live in a metro area so I need something that'll allow other drivers to know I'm behind them 😅
Yea the 22/23 are the same bikes I think they just added a dark screen on the 23. I would want the tune on this bike if it has a full exhaust. IMO you need to baby these little KTMs to save that warranty and they can be finicky from what I read. On a good note I haven’t read anything bad like the previous models yet so only time will tell.
I find it interesting that akra didn’t put the little rubber plug on the end of your exhaust can so you can unscrew the db killer, I have basically the same looking exhaust on my mt07 and they have that so you don’t have to deal with the rivets.
Reason why is because in the EU, after euro 4 emissions (2017), it became illegal for manufacturers to sell DB-compliant exhaust with removable DB-killers. Otherwise they would not get there e-mark. So in short: for an exhaust here in europe to be legal the exhaust has to not produce to much sound, keep within emmisions (for full systems they need a cat for example) and also should not have the ability to be made louder on the spot (aka not having a removable baffle)
You can make the DB killer removable on the Duke/RC 125/390 akra. You just need to drill a hole in the side and break the little weld that hold the screw in. Way easier than drilling out the rivots and going on from there
Yo! What’s up bud, yea man i finally changed the oil and started riding it a little. It’s a nice little bike but yea that front disc is trippy, no complaints on braking though
Nice video thank you.
Great job as always Scout... And nice to see the little bike getting some love on your channel as well.. :D
Thanks Phil, yea its been on the back burner for quite some time. Cheers!
Love the video tho the heavy left side stereo audio is distracting
Thank you, it was a bad audio mistake for sure. I’ve learned since then

Great video Scout, the new exhaust looks awesome. Thanks for sharing and have a great Sunday mate.
Thanks ck, its a nice little upgrade, cheers bud!
Thanks for the video. It would be interesting to know what the weight of the original exhaust was and how much weight you saved in the end.
Thank you! I know man I should have measured the weight
Dad had a 2001 ktm duke II 640 back in the day , that was a fun bike in the mountains. That 390 racer looks like it would b great little ride 😁👍
Nice dude that Dukes are fun! I need to put some more miles on this 390 its been on the back burner but man is it a fun little bike!

Sounds like a much easier way to do it
The long lost KTM 😊 that front disc is a trip 🤙

You need to remove the baffle
Yea I agree, seems kinda pointless with it
@@ScoutsOut I'm currently rocking mine without any muffler.
How’s the popping without the muffler?
@@ScoutsOut Only pops occasionally during downshifts.
