Last Spring a video was produced at a church in Gaza City that was built over 800 years ago. The members of that congregation were celebrating Psalm Sunday. There is another video on RUclips featuring the pastor of Gaza Baptist Church, who was sharing the Gospel of Christ with the people of Gaza. Why have these people been ignored by most Christians in the U.S. ?
New Covenant Whole Gospel: Can you honestly answer the first three questions below?
Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary?
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.
What does an understanding of the New Covenant do to the Pretrib Rapture doctrine?
Since the New Covenant is “everlasting” in Hebrews 13:20, how is the New Covenant Church age going to end seven years before the Second Coming of Christ? Why would anyone think God is going back to the Old Covenant system now made “obsolete” by the New Covenant in Hebrews 8:13? We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.
The Capitol "C" Church, as we use the word today, is not found in the entire Book of Revelation. Individual church bodies in ancient Asia Minor are found. In Revelation 12:11 we find those under the blood of the Lamb. A person cannot be under the blood of the Lamb and not be a part of the New Covenant Church of Jesus Christ. Verse 12 of this passage proves at least part of the tribulation period is the wrath of Satan upon the people of God.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
"It may come as a surprise to most pre-Trib prophecy students that the post-Trib position (in its primitive form) is the oldest point of view."
(The quotation above is from the book "Will You Escape The Tribulation? RAPTURE [Under Attack]", by Tim LaHaye, copyright 1998, Page 197.) Tim LaHaye was co-author of the “Left Behind” books and movies which have convinced millions of modern Christians that the Church age ends seven years before the Second Coming of Christ. Recently, Pastor Matt Furse of Mountain View Baptist Church in Custer, S.D. has written a book titled “Which One Is Right?’, which reveals the recent history of the pretrib rapture doctrine, and the fact it does not agree with what is written in the King James Bible.
The gathering of the Church is described at the end of 1 Thess. Chapter 4, and the timing of the event is found in chapter 5. The word “But” in the first verse of chapter 5 connects the two chapters, and the words “we” and “sleep” in verse 10 of chapter 5 prove the two chapters are connected.
The Greek words for “wrath” and “tribulation” are not the same word, as proven by the verse below.
Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Question. What you said regarding those of us who hold to the premillennial, pre trib rapture belief was out of line- I think you even half ways admitted that. But why did you stop short of apologizing to those of us you basically said are being led by a satanic doctrine?
I know that this is not the real "name" of Jack Hibbs' church, I like to call it CCCH. And while there is a podcast program called Real Life, that's aside from the actual Calvary Chapel Chino Hills weekly Livestream of Revenue CCCH and if you wait until Thursday you can see both the Sunday and the Wednesday services in one night.

Here's the thing folks. We will not escape persecution and hatred. Many of our brothers and sisters in Christ have been imprisoned, tortured and murdered who too have been waiting for His return. The important thing is not to just sit back waiting to be rescued but to truly delve deeply into God's Word every day, daily seek and pray for direction and listen for the Holy Spirit being available to respond to help the lost and dying. I respect both these men greatly and love them ❤

True. But persecution is a completely different topic than the tribulation.
I believe the Bonhoeffer quote:
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to act is to act. Not to speak is to speak.”
I pray for all believers to have a Paul-like boldnessl. I believe many of those imprisoned, tortured, murdered for sharing their faith and the gospel evidence a Paul-like boldness. It concerns me what some American believers might choose in the face of such persecution.

Eric seemed pretty clear in his eschatology in that interview with Benjamin Thomas. I think the backlash Eric got was the only thing that made him “sorta apologize”.
I agree. It was sort of an apology. He said people misunderstood. I think he meant what he said because he was people pleasing Benjamin Thomas (IMO)

I was so upset when I saw the interview with Benjamin Thomas. I thought wow, the rapture is what makes me do what I do, and helps me stop doing the things I know I shouldn't be doing. What you are missing from what Eric said is that If you mis-apply God's Word and create a new doctrine out of it. This new doctrine is what comes from the pit of hell.

I used to attend Radiant Church for years out here in Colorado, I have been watching Jack Hibbs for years now and Love the messages he gives. Jack speaks TRUTH and he helps me understand the Bible more than any church I ever have attended. I switched after COVID to RMC here in Colorado but would attend CCCHC if I lived there. Yes he was soft on him. It’s one thing to differ on doctrine, and another to call a doctrine satanic. I’m not so sure that Eric didn’t know exactly what he was saying. Maybe it ended up costing him in the broadcast/author business. He has written some terrific books, of all people he should understand the power of words.

Very important interview, both to make right the previous podcast with Eric and Benjamin, as well as to bring to light some of the things we didn’t know about California.
I bought three copies of Letter to the American Church, one for me and two for the lead pastors at my church. One, I know read it and let me know and thanked me. The other pastor I’m not sure. I also have a hardcopy of Daze of Deception as well as an audio book for my husband to listen to on the road. We also support Alliance Defending Freedom but another really good organization is First Liberty led by Kelly Shackleford. They also do good work, defending Christians and our rights.
When the tribulation that is around the earth comes to the church in the west it will be sifted. There will be a great falling away but the remnant will remain faithful until the Great Day of Our Lord when He returns. Remain watchful because we are all promised tribulation in the Last Days. Remain watchful and do not fall asleep.
This is what I find in the Word of God. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength. Love others as you love yourself. Go and make disciples everywhere and when the Good News is delivered to all and the Last Trumpet is sounded He will return!! Maranatha!!!

The church I attend is a Biblical based church, but I also watch several TBN pastors including Jack Hibbs, I always order books like Jack Hibbs book, I study my Bible, you can’t just be a Sunday morning Christian!
It is the Holy Spirit in the church today, that is still restraining the evil right now, and Praise God for this too.

Yes that was I stand for church to open doors during pandemic in our country too but no church open. When pandemic over I wanted to attend church service I was turned down because I n my daughter were not vaccinated. I am glad that God really showed me so much about churches. In fact when pandemic came pastors themselves were so fearful. Now I don’t attend any church that not align with God. I am glad that I came to know your web and I am now following it. Thank you

Difficult to not be apathetic when you see what’s happening to our nation & the world. I’m always sensitive to opportunities to share the Gospel. Very hard to find a church that teaches the entire Bible. I regularly listen to Jack, John MacArthur, Mark Driscoll and many others. Blessed & fed by them all!
I agree with Eric for the average Christian who believes in the pre tribulation for the reason he stated; Jack is also right that there are many who are out there getting down and dirty and doing great work for the world. In the name of Jesus. Truth be told I fall more so in the first category. Yes, I definitely am a deep Christian and not ashamed but I don’t do as much ad I really could. Give Eric a break. It’s a bit embarrassing that the other Christian’s got offended like he thinks no one is doing anything. Please don’t be like that. Thank you to both of you men!
I agree. It is wrong to call the rapture theory a satanic doctrine, because we are brothers in Christ, and love the same Lord. But one should investigate where the rapture theory began, back in the 1830's, and that it is rather a new doctrine. The Pilgrims who braved the Atlantic came with the 1569 Geneva Bible and had a different eschatology. Google Darby & Irving & Margaret Macdonald for more of the story. We all need to repent, including me, if we are not doing our part to fulfill Christ's Great Commission of discipling the nations. Matthew 28:19,20 NIV

I belonged to a very small church at the time of COVID. Since we couldn't find a place of worship that would allow us a space at that time because of the lockdowns, we moved to our pastors' basement. Was it crowded? Yes. Did we survive as a church? Absolutely! And now we've more than double the number of people coming to our church in a building that Jesus gave us.
So we no longer have to find a different place to worship. We also have another church meeting there as well. So the building is being used 7 days a week!

if anyone who is commenting haven’t watched the podcast between eric and his “guest” then you need to bcuz he made it sound like we “misunderstood” him… it was no misunderstanding… He said believing in the rapture was “demonic”… and a ton more offensive things. So go watch it.
I was very surprised when I saw the video. He did say very harsh things and now he is backpedaling, But in the end he will be the one surprised and happy the rapture happened. 😁
Couldn’t agree more. And he may very well be a brother in Christ, he did cross a line with his satanic comment. What’s wrong with simply saying you don’t agree with someone’s eschatology?
I have listened to Eric's podcast and disagree with you. This is a warning for the church. For those people who use the rapture as an escape hatch by not speaking against evil in the world or speaking against our government when they do wrong or have evil policies, faith without works is a bad doctrine from the pit of hell. Just see what Bonhoeffer tries to do and how he spoke out against evil in Eric's book.
Glad you straightened this out Eric. While I wasn't going to throw away all of my Metaxas books, I stopped following your podcasts. Saw Fish Out of Water today and thought I'd search to see where things were as of today. I didn't know you and Jack were friends or I would have asked him what was going on. I know what Jack believes and it's the same as what I believe - what the Bible says..
You're absolutely right and there are numerous commenters on the post here that still believe what Eric said in the beginning with Thomas. This was a sort of apology apology but I firmly believe it was because of his book sales tanking

What happened to Christians being quick to forgive? I, personally, will forgive (especially when apology is given) because I am far from perfect and have been forgiven much. Seems as though some of the commenters do not feel the same.

Brandon Holthaus washed his hands of Metaxes after watching the Ben Thomas interview dismissing the Rapture as legitimate doctrine! So I am curious to see how Brandon reacts to Metaxes recant of rejecting the Rapture of the church!!
I don't believe he recanted. But I don't think it matters. It is between him and God now. Unfortunately, he likes to speak out of both sides of his mouth. At least that is what he alludes to doing every time he interviews others. He is only trying to be nice for the sake of the interview. The only reason I'm actually listening to him right now is because pastor Jack is the one interviewed.

Being set straight doesn't mean he changed his mind. I believe what he said in that interview he meant. What he said was pretty vicious. I believe you can have a different viewpoint without being offensive to your brothers and sisters in the Lord. After all, if you are a true Christian you will be extremely happy when the rapture happens.
Did you watch Eric's original comments on this? He called pretrib believers satanic and our belief "from the pit of hell," and talked about how we're useless in society. That's vicious. And it cane out of nowhere.
Christians are more touchy than the world! We need to stop getting offended at every word! Like he said get out there and do the hard work! Volunteer in your community no matter what theology you hold! There is a dying world who needs a living Church! Let’s get over it and get out there in the trenches and win the world for Jesus no matter when He comes back for us, otherwise we aren’t going with Him anyway!
Not when he (Eric) called the rapture was demonic, how many people listened to him say that and got tripped up. If you are a spokesperson you need to choose your words more carefully, you can’t just agree to get to get along because then you are just patronizing the guest and speak the Truth
