Locked in, high energy under control. I really love how he and Tatum have both gotten so much more consistent and versatile at laying the ball in from further out to the sides. Going to the hole is a lot easier when it's as wide as the entire backboard.
I’ve been praising him all season. Truly remarkable how he’s turned the season around. I’ve always felt he was a complete picture kind of player, an athletic wing that can defend and score at will. Those drives to the basket and mixture of 3’s and 2’s make it so hard to defend him.
Man, it's been awesome to watch Jaylen's growth over the years.. and he's really taken a big leap this year with his shooting, and finishing at the rim. He's always had the athleticism to get to the rim, but he used to be terrible at actually making the shot when he got there. He's doing that now. In these playoffs, he's shot 54% from the floor, and just under 37% from 3, with a lot of timely shots. Wish his 63% free throw was better, but I guess you can't have everything. :)
He's more efficient with his ball handling skills than last season. I can totally see the improvement. Maybe Jeff Van Gundy DID scold for for turning the ball over a lot. 🤣
The thing that separates him from tatum for me is he's always got his head down in attack, looking for the ball and to drive instead of the pull up 3 as the first option Far more efficient from the field, great defense especially in crunch time and wants to guard the best players. He's the guy for the celtics
Tatum had a better True Shooting percentage in the regular season by a decent margin (though Brown's was better in this series). Brown's poor FT shooting really hurts his efficiency and Tatum had a higher 3 point percentage as well, not to mention he's a much better passer and rebounder. JB had a great season and was outstanding this series, but this trend of people trying to say he's actually the Celtics' best player is ridiculous.
@@Il_Exile_lI i mean brown has been better than tatum in the entire playoffs so far. brown needs an entire new ft routine. he has some weird pause to it meanwhile his jumpshot is smooth. if not for brown we would be down 0-2 in pacers series to begin with. considering how badly tatum played in game 2(shoots around 35% until 4th quarter when he starts to statspadd). 2-10fg in game 1 4th quarter where brown miraculously forced the turnover and hit a clutch 3. tatum might be more talented but brown has more heart.
@@Il_Exile_lILol you realize the playoffs is more important. We’ve seen countless times players play “amazing” in the regular season, and have awful playoff series or games. Tatum didn’t have an awful series, but he hasn’t been the best Celtics player in the playoffs. You can bring up stats all you want, but you have to add context. Brown doesn’t have the same amount of rebounds for the simple fact that he’s always on the fast break. When a shot goes up he’s looking to get out and run. Tatum has been our point forward for at least two years now, I’d expect his assist numbers to be higher than browns.
@@Mitch_Feral Even with Tatum's shooting struggles his overall contributions have been more impactful to winning these playoffs than Brown. All the on-off ratings and +/- numbers agree that Tatum helps the team more.
As a Celtics fan don't you feel that Brown and Tatum should be able to put down a dunk or put up a strong lay up at will? They should barely ever have to take fadeaways, Take turns driving hard and mix in some three's.. Really I'd just love to see the ease them 2 blow past defenders being utilized a bit more frequently! They go around defenders like parking cones lol 7 game win streak

happy to see your channel growing. keep up the good work!
That little pump fake to step through move that he’s been doing recently is smooth
JB is a interesting player. I feel like he adds and discards moves every season lol.
Right? My favorite thing in his bag, right now

Jaylen highlights from 1 series looks better than some guys highlights from their whole career.
'Brown gently throws it down' is one of my favorite national calls in a long time.
This is great, Timi, you've been doing incredible work.

wow, his defense really just took an insane leap
had the worst series of his career last year's ECF then goes and wins a ECF MVP the next. worth that contract 100%

I’m so happy JB is getting his respect!

It’s nice to see JB playing like the 300 million dollar man he is.
He has really been working on that step through. He was undguardable with that.
Great job JB!
Jaylen found another gear this ECF!!!

I didn't realise how much layups he made this series until I watched this😅
That first highlight really was a microcosm of the whole ecf.
Yeah Timi! 3 more to go!
This is why he got paid 🤑
Underrated
