Hapy 4th!!! How long have you worked for LABOS? Have you worked at other waste hauling company's before? Do you work 5 8 hour days or 4 10 hour days? 4 10s is how Republic Services Vegas works! I love that sweet sound of an LA Peterbilt Amrep! It brings back so many memories!
@@BackToTheFun Wow, that's cool! A driver I knew used to drive a school bus in LA I think years back before he worked for Republic Services Vegas. As far as hiring I'm not sure but they do have a website showing their open positions. If I remember right for new residential drivers, I was told they start people off in a rear loader doing the bulk routes. Then you get to drive ASL floating around for drivers that are off/called in, then you do routes no others would want to take usually they're the bigger routes. My info may not be all that accurate but that is what I hear from what drivers tell me.
Great video! Nice to see how different waste streams pose different challenges for you. Why do you hear radio conversations from other drivers; is it like some sort of group call?
You should make a steady 10 minute video of you collecting on the route. Would like you to talk about how you do your routes and how you learn different areas when floating to help your team out along not forgetting. I find doing a route without too many turns is easy for me. Stay straight and go right without doing a lot of backout or U-turns. Or aka figure 8s when I know the area.
@ThePackMaster718 everyone does things different I guess as long as you don't leave anything out. Personally if I start a street I close it out if possible some take the half side and go somewhere else. The way I do it once I'm in there I won't be back. Thank you for the feedback 😊

@railsandsignals9261 radio 📻 is for our yard only and we can communicate with everyone or call a specific driver about traffic or delays etc.
