- In this Rugged Road FLOATING Cooler review we take a look at the Rugged Road 65 and 85 quart coolers. Both of these Rugged Road floating coolers are ultralight coolers that are unique when put next to your typical rotomolded coolers. They feature a reversible/removable lid, a "Kick Flip" latch system, their unique Rigorite exterior coating, and most of all, are incredibly lightweight.
There are certainly compromises, though vs a rotomolded cooler, but the weight savings is extremely appealing!

Always appreciate the reviews on this channel.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
That is a good review on Coolers. I'd be curious as to how they would hold up in a boat being used as a seat for a 225#guy. Thank you for taking time to test, film, edit and post this video.
Thank you! These cooler review were a lot of fum(and work LOL). I think they'd be just fine as a boat seat as they can handle a lot of weight. They aren't as good as rotomolded coolers for impact resistance though, so be aware of that. Thanks for watching!
@@BackwoodsPursuit I greatly appreciate the information. Thank you!
@donaldmatthies6026 absolutely! Happy to help!
“Ultra light” is it just me or are we going backwards in tech? These just look like every flimsy cooler that we had before Yeti hit the scene with the rotomolded coolers. It looks exactly like my POS $30 igloo lol just with a couple little things like a flippable cover
Hey! I can definitely see how they could seem to look like a cheap cooler, but they are definitely better made than the old igloo lol. Not as good as a rotomolded as far as insulation, but also much lighter. Thanks for watching!
I like the sound of lightweight plus decent insulation…I just dont know how people can lug around ice chests that weight 40,50,60 pounds or more!
Yeah, the light weight sure is nice, particularly once you get the cooler full! Thanks for watching!
65 means 65 cans plus ice they don’t measure in quarts
Thanks for clarifying and thanks for watching!
