The comments are so weird. Yuzuru was just practising 4A and as a fan you would know that he knows what he's doing. He knows when he's ready to put the jump in his program. No need to assume stuff and criticizing him for jumping it now because it's his freaking choice. This jump was for himself only he's challenging himself. That's his way of building up his confidence. He is not a child. Yuzu knows what's best for him. He finished practising for FS and wanted to sprinkle some 4As in the middle, it wasn's his first time jumping it, he's been practising it for a while now. So encouraging him is better than doubting and criticizing his choices. Yes we are anxious and scared for him but it's the first time we see the jump and falls, he probably did this thousands of times in canada infront of his coaches. Let's pray that he will be healthy to give us more heart attacks and bless our eyes in the future 😋
No need to say more, I was thinking the same why everybody keep talking about him like he don't know what he is doing or like he is desperate... I mean he always push himself not for others for him self he was certainly not even thinking about judge, scoring etc... Anyway you've said everything right 👌🏽🙏🏽
Well look, Yuzu said himself that normally he wouldn't do this before a competition but he wanted to do it because his coaches was not there and if they were there he said they would stop me. This was actually something Yuzu shouldn't have done there. But it's ok tho, if he really wants to do this he must take big risks.
I'm pretty confident he already landed it in practice, It's just a matter of time and we'll very likely see it in a program. So excited for that moment!
Everyone saying "Please stop Yuzu, you'll hurt yourself" can you guys please shut up and be in awe of his fighting spirit. It has been his dream to land all types of quads in competition and his coaches are not trying to stop him but rather encouraging him to do so. Let this man build up his ultimate dream landing that Quad Axel. I am beyond amazed, I'm still living breathing and most likely will witness his Quad Axel in the future. Hope he gets healthier and confident to do that impossible jump.
He does not seem happy with himself. That is so sad, because it should not be. I wish he could feel some of the power and love of his fans as he once said.
saludos lo que pasa es que los japoneses lo presionan demasiado lo cual no le permite disfrutar el patinar, el debe relajarse y sentirse libre ya es un ganador no tiene que de mostrar nada a nadie.
Landing 4A is his dream, along with Olympic medals. He already have 2 OM... so we know how he feel about it. Right now, he crave for it more than winning any medal. Axel is his proud. 4A is his biggest dream. I was thought the same thing about he shouldnt try and rehearsal 4A close to performance. However, Yuzuru have his own thought. For him, support and cheers with high energy from his supporters means a lot to him. I think that was once of his intention at that moment, he just show it to gain more power and support from the supporters so he could do more in the future. Just my two cent.
Ah so close!! I really hope with all my might he achieves his goal of landing the 4A in competition - only he can do this, no-one else has a chance! The skating world would be absolutely blown away; it's sort of impossible in reality...but we totally believe that Yuzuru CAN do it! I agree with Roman Sadovsky, if Yuzuru (or anyone) lands a 4A in competition, they should automatically win!! Sending Yuzuru all my positive thoughts, wishes, and energy for the coming season (I'm sure we will see competitions, but possibly without audiences, or reduced audiences).
Yes, he was born to make history 🎶 For sure, one day he will do the quadruple axel in a competition Omg imagine the pressure! Poor yuzuru 😞 sorry for my English
Yuzuru you can do it, you can do it, stay happy and healthy,, we believe and support you always,,,we love and appreciate YUZURU HANYU 💕💕💕 (sorry for my Bad English 😅)

It was nice when the ppl behind the camera decided to shut up. Concern for him isn’t bad, he injures himself all the time and it upsets me too, but literally every Olympic skater has suffered severe injuries while practicing jumps. He’s an athlete not a celebrity, stop treating him like that.
I hope one day he'll be able to land it but I just want him to take his time with it too Rushing to get it right is probably going to lead to some kind of injury and I'm p sure nobody wants to see him badly injured especially before competition
DumDumb i think he knows what he’s doing, and he has his wonderful coaches by his side to give him some good advice. let’s just believe in him, if he decides to try landing it at worlds (as i heard) we have to support him harder than ever. we want him to make history!
Don’t know why some people complained about this, it’s his right if he wants to practice it, he wants to do it so let him. I’m also worried about his health but he did say he does not care about winning but achieve his goal which is the 4A and not only that he is probably rushing it cause he is getting older so he didnt want to waste anytime. And I just hope he completes it in a healthy and confident state:(
Does he still use the Pattern 99 Revolutions? If so, he's likely crashing due to the flawed design of the blades since they are beveled and almost completely missing a toe pick, or landing directly onto the blades.
Yuzu wants this win so bad that he gpes and try the 4A. This Is where the unfair scoring of isu brought Yuzu to. Taking such risks because he knows that there's no other way.
landing the 4A has always been a dream of his regardless of ISU corruption. He is not attempting it this competition so it's not about the win, he's only practicing (even if it's a bad time to and kinda risky)
The scoring is not unfair. He just no longer has the technical content necessary to win. If you think the ISU is corrupt when he loses then you'd also be saying the ISU is corrupt when he wins. You can't have it both ways.
Natasha Estrada Not true. I mean there are so many side by side comparison videos of Yuzu and Nathan of this comp. Even on spins they overscored Nathan over Yuzuru. GOE and PCS inflation does effect the scoring more than you think and you can’t deny the biased judging when it is this blatant
Not in competition. Perhaps in practice (although I don't think there is any solid evidence of that, either). I believe Yuzu and maybe someone else landed a 4a with a harness in practice, though.
I'm so sad he feels the need to do this. The ISU is systematically oppressing him to the point that he thinks he should include something this dangerous. The wild amount of overscoring of other skaters, especially a certain skater, and the recurrent underscoring of Yuzu.... Just. No words.

Andrei Furanets I'm not saying he shouldn't try the 4A, in fact I firmly believe he will get it right. But on the rehearsal?? Right before the final? Risking injury? No. I'm sorry but it's obvious he feels pressured to add more and more jumps and sacrifice his artistic elements.
Andreas Fuentes AGAIN NOT AT THE PRACTICE BEFORE THE PROGRAM. Even he admitted his coaches would've forbidden him. It's unnecessary, risky behaviour. He had 5 quads in his program. He has never landed a fully rotated 4A and he was risking injury in his already unstable ankles right before a FS he had a set program for. If he hadn't missed the 3A and the ISU weren't bastards who stay in the pockets of US and RUS fed, he would've gotten gold. Don't come at me, I'm not about to give up on my point when even Brian and Ghislain would agree with me that trying this axel right before the final was a stupid thing to do and Yuzu admits himself that he wouldn't have done it if he had his coaches with him.
I cannot understand this. If the 4axel is not yet ready to be debuted, why do it in practice time for gpf fs? My man Yuzu, what may you be thinking? You should know better than that my dear man.
@@AishiBhattacharyaOfficial First of all you have no idea what his intentions were. Secondly, the skaters get a very limited amount of practice time - 30 minutes. He clearly had a reason to be trying 4As and he said he isn't doing it in FS so . . . why waste limited practice time doing it then?
@@benbailey159bb even I think he has a mind to try the quad axel. It's just the comment about trying to intimidate Nathan was a bit 🤔🤔🤔 to which I replied above.
@@benbailey159bb Knowing from experience (not in ice skating though, but gymnastics), the possibility of over-practicing does exist. Doing the same thing over and over again sometimes can be more detrimental to your mind than favourable so he might have thought it would be a good thing to give it a go and try the 4A just to take a breather at the end of the practice. He hasn't used up an entire hour to try it out, but mere minutes.
