Holy Crap! That was great!!! I am a former network manager, but I was very concerned that Discord would be completely disorganized and that I would need bots to do almost everything. But watching this has assured me that it will be relatively straightforward (for someone used to setting Novell Netware networks with group and hereditary permissions).

I did notice that "One Last Step" marked at 20:15 was the screen that came after "Keep your Community Safe" marked at 18:53 and BEFORE "Set up the Basics" screen marked at 19:05. it seems that the two flipped in flow of screens. Just wanted to let you know that there was a change through discord. This was a fantastic video and was incredibly helpful!!!

Not sure if anyone is still having this issue but what you want to do is go to the members blip in the server and select sapphire theres a spot that says roles with a plus sign select that and select bot and it will be set to the bot role 🙂
When i try to use join roles it doesnt let me. It says permission issues and when i put the mouse on it it says Saphire cant give its highest role... I dont understand
Is the desktop version really that different from the mobile app? Cause I'd to create a server and from reading the comments this RUclipsr’s video is the way to go. I don't mind if I have to use my computer to set it up in the long run just asking if it's possible to set it up on my phone following the video.

Go into the roles on your server and give the bot moderator perms

Move the sapphire roll above all the other roles in your discord that should fix it that's what I did

It's actually easy to set up servers on the mobile version (I'm a mobile user and yes I'm a professional too)

Toggle on "Display Role Members Separately from Online Members" in the settings of each role!
