      We bought a new one in 04 woody it served us well at a160,000the transmission went out so we found a dream edition for parts the transmission was different stall heavier built at 300,000 we passed it the kids and they destroyed it the recently bought a 07 replaced the head gasket î 2s a very nice car until a lady ran into it totald it out now I just bout a 08 W/P chry edition basket case with 120,000 miles I've got it running but has miss fire which probably helped caused the belt to shred I'll be putting in new censors today it's a clean car that we got for 500

    I've owned 3 different PT Cruisers over the past 12 years (still have 2 of them) and loved them all. Great little cars with a nostalgia look.
    You ought to see my GT Convertible with factory HiPo 2.4 and Turbo with special 5 speed gearbox. I't's got 2 tone paint with 1950s "Moon" wheel covers, Lake Pipes and dual exhaust out the back. I get turned heads, thumbs up and smiles wherever I drive it. ;-)

      My father has had his 04 since 2009 and he just put 200k on it. It still runs pretty good, and he said he will keep it until it dies. I asked him why he love it so much, and he said because it was small and fun to drive. Hopefully when it "dies" I could buy it from him.

    I own a 2008 pt cruiser touring (NA 4 speed automatic) my family bought it new in 2009, drove it for 10 years all year round. From 40 degrees Celsius summer days to snowy minus 40 degrees Celsius (I live in canada) the car never let us down, my dad totalled it in February of 2019, I took ownership of it and rebuilt it. I personally love the car, super fun to drive and always puts a smile on my face. Super practical car, very impressive interior layout, perfect daily driver. Reliable with very little "common problems". Very large sight lines, no blind spots, large mirrors ect ect. Issues to watch out for are the power door locks somtimes can be faulty, rust on the rocker panels and rear fenders on higher mileage cars and if you're looking to buy one in the 135000kms-170000kms make sure the timing belt and water pump are replaced because it is an awkward job due to the shape of the front of the car. There really is no better car on the market that can beat the pt in practicality, reliability and value, if you truly like these cars and are willing to take care of one, buy one, you wont regret it. - cheers and happy cruising!

    P.S. If it needs repairs, yes it's a pain. BUT cars do need repairs. In order words, they a FUN to drive. 👍❤😎

    I bought my preowned 20 owners a 2001 Limited -non urbo with 2800000kms for $500 CAD, spent already $3000 CAD replaced everything from the bottom, 50% of the car is new, just need to touch up on the body, sound completely upgraded and everything done all by myself with the help from this Channel. Why do I like it, its because everybody hated it. I've nicknamed my (P)iece-of-shi(T) ~ PTcruiser. Its not a Turbo, not as fast nor snappy as a Turbo but It turns heads and I'm the only PT on the street as far as I can see, that makes me special ;) and I feel 20 years younger which I am now 48.......

    great video! I have an 03 GT auto model myself, owned it since new, and it's a great little car!, very little wrong with it, parts are dirt cheap, quite reliable, only work I've done on it was regular maintenance, or when the engine light came on, but those were easy fixes!
    I've never been made fun of in person or by friends, only online, but the internet is a dumping ground for opinions/A--holes anyways.

    Even the Touring/Limited cars with their turbo engine is basically the srt motor. Its just de tuned in the ecu to run on regular gas and put out less power. From 04 and up, the turbo injectors were the same which is a good factor. In any form, these are great cars. I'd put it over all day every day.

      @rangerider9091 5 лет назад

    I don’t really like the first few years of the pt cruiser (before the 2006 facelift) the ones after facelift looked pretty good actually. My favorite is the 2006 Sebring, pt cruiser,and 300c 2006 was a good year for Chrysler in my opinion. (Even tho the Sebring got a facelift in 2003-2004. But my all time favorite Chrysler is the 1934 airflow ,52 imperial and a 2016 Chrysler 200 and the 2004-2006 2.7.

      The 2nd gen got a slight bump in hp....from 215 to 230. The factory did some different tuning on them. I have an 07 GT (stick shift) and it is tons of fun to drive :)

      @@ARDrummer sweet so its even better. I'm thinking of getting an 09/10 pt turbo 5-speed and use the stock turbo in it and then upgrade to the srt4 caliber 2.4l becuase the produced 285hp and i would love to make 300hp min, then it would have as much power as a golden commando v8 did.

      @@tylerlooney8058 That would be cool! Driving a stick is pretty fun :) I'm not sure they still produced PT turbos in 09/10. I think they stopped by then, not 100% sure though.
