Well. I watch the whole thing and did not think it was going to be right. But and the end you had it right. You did it !!!! Very nice project and video !!!!!!

Cheers man! Haha thats typical with a lot of these projects, they start off looking like a dogs breakfast but they all come together in the end 😊 thanks for stopping by mate 😎

Very nice. If you take one of the micro torches like is used for cigarette and cigar lighters and heat the panels on the inside you can take a wood dowel that's you've rounded the end on and bow the entire panel out between the ribs. You probably already knew that but just something I've done before. The top band and all the dents inside look awesome and the weathering is great. Good video. 👍

Cheers William much appreciated mate! I hadn't actually thought of using a micro torch ill definitely give that a try on the next one, thanks for the tip 😎👍

Very good. A job that well done now deserves a high quality load in it of some sort.

Nice to see you back in action. That soldering iron trick was very cool. Well, very hot. I’ve never seen that before. Results look amazing. Another job well done!

Thanks Mark its great to be back and having fun! 😂 definitely hot and it felt weird to put a soldering iron to a nice model, the things we do somtimes 😂 thanks for swinging by my dude!

Impressive how a passable freight car turns into a head turner. I appreciate the tips!

Yeah it can definitely add some life to a layout with a few beat up old cars, and theres not many instances where ya can take to a plastic model with a soldering iron 😃

Again, a very fine production. I was unsure how it would work out after you worked it over with the hot iron, but it came out great. Un prototypical thickness of the plastic sides present a real challenge when banging them up. And I might add, I think you are a true master when it comes to free handing the graffiti. Looking forward to your next project.

Thanks mate a very nice comment, haha i was pretty nervous doing it as i hadn't done it before and yes the plastic is quite thick so a lot of melting was required! Thanks for stopping by mate 😎👍

I used the method William Bryant mentioned. Yup,tiny torch lighter works fantastically. I found it easier to manipulate the panels for more control. I too have used a solder iron. Your freight car turned out great. God bless.

Yeah it definitely seems like a great method and ill be sure to use it next time, and im really hoping to have enough room on my next module for a little scrap yard, always inspired by your videos! Thanks for stopping by mate stay safe 😎👍

That looks awesome! I often thought if you could use a irregularly shaped stone after you softened the plastic you could mimic the look of irregularly shaped damaged sides. also if you could "bend" the entire side out too, that would make it it well used - MOW Service candidate.

@@TheSteelRoad For the stone I was think along the line of volcanic rock, or something with a similar texture.

Dear sir, what brand of marking paint pens did you apply on the gondola? The markings were very fine and you were able to make great details. Do you think that these pens can be used on n scale? Appreciate a reply when you can. A great admirer of your talents. Thank you, a friend, Mike
