Man..., I used to take a lot of pride in how well I cleaned my pistols. Now, I'm embarrassed. Just a fantastic demonstration with a filthy gun. Great job and great video.
Thanks so much for the great tutorial! I watched it one time and then went and cleaned my brand new Ruger ec9s. This one is the easiest one I have ever cleaned! Trying to break in the slide a little bit before I take it to the range for the first time. Be careful folks because whenever you slide it forward it may slip out of your fingers.
Nice clear instructions. I usually don't pull out the Hoppes jar for every cleaning. CLP for the other parts every cleaning though. Ballistol would be fine as well. . Comparatively, Ruger semi-autos aren't the most reliable when dry. I put a few drops of synthetic motor oil on the barrel and the slide rails just to keep it lubed. I hope I never have to rely on a Ruger semi-auto to protect my life. However, if that day comes, I hope that I added those few extra drops of oil when last cleaning my Ruger.
Thank you. I was breaking it down way too far. Fully reassembled. Properly cleaned and assembled for my daughter. This is super easy! The takedown pin falls out pretty easy with a light tap when it's turned to the side.
As an FYI! I save used toothbrushes and run them through the dishwasher. Great on all firearms. I especially like children's toothbrushes as they are softer. Also, a spray cleaner like CLP or Hotshot do great in the slide rails.
I cleaned and oils my firearm along with the tutorial, but I feel there's not enough oil. But I don't want to over oil. How can I tell if there's enough oil? Note: this is my first time cleaning my firearm. Please don't judge.
Hi Anissa! Thank you for watching. This is a great question. A good rule of thumb that I was taught was that you should put enough oil to where you can see it (the oil) and feel a slight sheen to it, but it shouldn’t respond to gravity (drip off). Sometimes I find that I under oil or over oil and when I catch myself doing it, I just correct it. You just never want so much oil that it’s dripping and too much oil will cause the firearm to collect more carbon and dirt. I’m so super proud of you that you are taking the initiative to caring for your own guns! We are all on a journey to be responsible firearms owners and I could never judge! I’m still learning too! Allow yourself some grace. As long as safety is our top priority, you won’t go wrong. I have a lot to learn too and I’m hopeful that me sharing what I learn will help others.
Also a good practice to get in is all the times you saw her using her brush, you should dip your brush into your cleaner (I use CLP all in one) get solvent on brush and scrub well a dry brush isn't getting the solvent on all the places and isn't breaking a lot of that carbon free. Grab a old white cotton tee and wipe down. Then lube however you feel comfortable
Thank you. I just bought my ruger ec9s and have yet to work on it. As soon as I go through the manual I will come back go your tutorial on disassembly and cleaning and do my first work on it.
Yes. I definitely always recommend to follow the manual! Thank you for watching. If there is a particular weapon that you’d like to see in The future, please don’t hesitate to let me know!
Thanks for the video on take down! I first checked another video on taking down the EC9s! I couldn't get the slide off! I checked your video and my slide came off!
Go ahead sista 😊 I'm a big fan of sistas with guns. I just ran across your channel but now you are locked in so keep up the good work and keep those videos coming . big up bad gal 😅 respect
Caution. Never allow, with the pin removed, the slide to move backward. That will cause the slide to Lock up. So all ways only move the slide forward when the pin is out.
Thank you! I appreciate it! I have more in editing. Are there any ones specifically that you are interested in seeing cleaned? Please share and I will do my best to get the videos done. @legion16
Thank you! I have only shot it a few times, but at around 5 lbs of pressure, it was smooth to me and I felt that it helped me to resist the urge to snatch the trigger through the break with this particular striker fired weapon.
Just found and subscribed today. Great videos! I've got both the EC9S and the Pro version. Qualified with the Pro for my CCW. Excellent gun, accurate, powerful and easy to carry. Be safe!
I accidently racked the slide without the pin and it got stuck, with a bit of force i got it back and knnew i had to insert the pin to rack it correctly. Did i cause any harm to my pistol?
Hi. I personally don’t use alcohol, but what I would do if I were you is to contact the gun manufacturer and ask them in an email or on one of their pages. Please come back and let me know what they say!
I will say this you are awesome you watch guys do this and it’s wait rewind lol then there’s your videos very detailed very nice ma’am stay safe oh I have to ask were you in the military
Best takedown and cleaning on RUclips! Thanks!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the feedback!

Thank you for this! I just bought mine today, and I’ll save this to come back for reference. Always good to know how to disassemble a firearm 🙌

@@TheGunLove Yep. I sent her a link to your video as well.
Awesome! Thank you and I hope that she enjoys it! Please let me know if you want to see anything else done!
Thank you so much sis. Excellent job. I thought i knew it all. You just taught me something i'm almost ashamed to admit. Thx again!

2 clean the slide rails brake the end off a round tooth pick it fits in & run it down the rails works good
Thank you for that great tip!
Very detailed video thanks ever so much for taking your time and doing the job properly.
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! I am going to try to be as thorough as possible!
My fingers are to big but finally got my Ec9 clean...your way was more organized🏌👍
Great video. Have the same gun in my collection. I always use a Bore Snake to clean all of my barrels.
Thank you! Is there a particular brand that you prefer and do you use solvent ever on them?

You’re quite welcome! Thank you so much for watching! Do you have any other firearms that you’d like to see cleaned?
Simple and straightforward. Great video, Ma'am 👍🙏☺️
You did a fabulous job! Thank you so much for doing this one. Best one I've seen hands down.

This is the only pistol that I own. Hopfully I will never have to use it for the reason I bought it, self defense and my family.
@@reub5439evil Yes. Hopefully none of us will, but if it does.... we are responsible, trained and ready.💪🏾

Exceptionally clear and concise video! Well done!
Excellent job cleaning and narrating of video
Thank you so much!!
If anyone is having failure to feed, means that the feed rampneeds lightly sanded, cleaned and polished.
The takedown pin is the only thing I don't like about cleaning my wife's EC9s pistol. For me, it's harder getting it back in than taking it out.
Thanks for the clear, concise information. I will be referring back to this video when I clean mine.
It’s my pleasure! Thank you so much for watching and sharing that!
Excellent video! Thank you very much!
Thank you so much for watching and letting me know!
Absolutely Great video ,THANK you for sharing this information helped a lot. you done absolutely a very great job!

Really enjoy our ec9s Also use Hoppes
Hi! Isn’t it a great gun! And Hoppes is one of my favorite go to cleaning kits! Thank you for sharing!
@@smjohn24 I added a Hogue grip to mine, helps with the recoil. It's an amazing gun for the price. Got mine for $219 two years ago!
Caution. Never allow, with the pin removed, the slide to move backward. That will cause the slide to Lock up. So all ways only move the slide forward when the pin is out.
Thank you for sharing that super important tip! I appreciate your contribution to help us all learn!
All you have to do is pull down the slide release and it can go backwards easily without the pin !
Also if you don’t have the dummy mag provided when purchased you can just use your regular magazine works just the same.
You are such a Rockstar
Trying to be like you!😘
Very good demonstration, thank you.
You said, you’re using the kit; did you use the cleaner and the lubricant, or just the lubricant?
Great job on video. Easy to understand
Thank you so much for the feedback! Please let me know if there is something else that you want to see cleaned.
Awesome tutorial!
When the slide is pulled back and locked is the pin supposed to be straight or at an angle
i just subscribed ..please keep it coming..can you focus on a lot of cheap less than $400 guns

Thank you so much for watching and for your feedback!
Good video, btw can you describe your recoil experience?

If you lose the take down pin will gun still fire
I accidently racked the slide without the pin and it got stuck, with a bit of force i got it back and knnew i had to insert the pin to rack it correctly. Did i cause any harm to my pistol?
I am faaar from an expert, but would say that you should be fine. This is a well built gun. Please share with us if you did and what the recourse was.
Excellent video
Thanks for the lesson.
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching!
I just hose mine down with safariland CLP, brush it and wipe it down and it’s ready to go

How was the customer’s ability to shoot smoothly with the gun compared from when last cleaned to the date of this video?? I would love to know!!!
They loved it! I’ve received great feedback from everyone so far! I still clean this one for the owner too. 🥰
All ways breech to front never back forth like you did with the sword and patches never
You wash all parts when you take a shower. (Nothing sexual intended) 💯💯💯
Ha! Most of us do but…. 🥴😂
🇺🇸 RUGER EC9S 9MM 🔝🇺🇸

My take down slide broke off, don’t think it’s necessary
Good content but for the future every handgun and almost all rifles all have a takedown pin or slide release. Good video tho 💪
Happes? It’s called Hopps lol
a woman with a gun that is a danger. Since they need experience for that
Ha! I’d say all people should have or attain experience with any firearm.
