As I've copied (followed suit) you with the table saw, I was intrigued with which router lift you were going with. I even got close to messaging before you released this episode. The Rutland combination looks fantastic. Great installation, and hopefully, it'll serve you very well. I went for the Temu Router lift, which I'll be using with my Makita trim router. You'll have about 3 x the power with your motor 😢. Unbelievable viewing figures, but well deserved. Keep on doing 😊
Yea it’s a good combo, I looked at the Temu one, it looks identical, just haven’t used Temu before so though I would get something cheaper as a first test! Hoping to box this one off now and start something new. Has dragged out a little bit due to time!
@sawdust934 I lied... banggood for the enjoywood router lift (approx £110) and temu for the generic table saw mitre gauge (£80). I'm very impressed with both. Banggood was EU shipping and about 4 days. Temu took several weeks...
Hey bro, i want to start wood working, but i don't want to get crazy on spending. what tools should i start buying first? mainly i wanna build little desks and stools for my home. wanting to start to build a little monitor stand on my editing desk
I would say a hand saw for breaking stuff down, a speed square will be really handy for marking stuff out to cut, a hand plane for smoothing and getting boards flat. (Start with a number 5 plane), a drill and then depending on how you want to build, some chisels could come in handy too. Other than that everything else is a luxury
I have a crappy router table and I made my own lift. EASY.
I can afford to just buy one, what’s your point?
@sawdust934 Absolutely nothing, just saying.
All my Rutland stuff is still going strong. If I can make the space this is something I will be implementing in the future 👌🏽👌🏽
Looking good bud
Thanks, yea first time getting their stuff and was pleasantly surprised, cheers
Nice job. Looks like great quality.
Yea went in really smooth and all feels solid so am really happy with it.

Come on brother! Don't do it for the likes. Don't do it for the views... keep goin!!
For the cash? 😂
Nice one mate! Looks like really good and sturdy quality. I wonder if the 50 euro lift I am looking at from amazon is as sturdy :D
I had looked at them too!

Dude, the music!!!! That’s my only complaint. I like your demeanor and delivery but the music coming in loud is annoying. Thanks
