i love the story too, its like all of them are NPCs and just background graphics, like those insignificant background designs only trying to create a story for themselves. with the stick figure learning the true essence of heroism and giving himself back to nostalgaia so that the world would have meaning nad not just become background for other games
I agree on most of this, the level design, the pastiche ecriture, the remember-unburden system, those are great But i didnt like the combat. I played rapier and hammer with a minimum of Magic, those were satisfying, but i often had attacks missing out of nowhere, plunging attacks are awful, they do NOT work as you land on your enemy's head, without any damage. The bestiary and last dungeon and boss were an absolute let-down. Only one boss was at a satisfying difficulty (the Queen ?), all the others were brainless random enemies It started on such a good premise...
I like how everyone who sees the obvious kirby clone says "creepy pink guy" lmaoo hes a pink ball guy that sucks the burdens and is cheerful about putting an end to lives lmao. Sortve how kirby is a cheerful little pink ball guy who sucks other creatures and devours them like its nothing lmao. If you ever seen sonic for hire and seen the episode with kirby he practically acted just like that
