    1. Using gold-plated core to ensure transmission of signals.
    2. Two network cable can be connectted into a longer cable through this splitter.
    3. 78MM PCB board was embedded conduction circuit to avoid damage to the conductor.
    4. Can shield the external electromagnetic signal interference to prevent damagement to the internet signal.
    Specification:
    1. Model: RJ45
    2. Material: ABS
    3. Color: Black
Transmission distance can be up to 50 Meters (150ft) with Ethernet cable. USB 2.0.

It's an USB1.1 extender, normal usb can only be extended with a 5m cable. For longer distances you must add a hub to recondition the signal every 5m. This device convert the usb signal to another format to support up to 50m cable length extension.

These are exactly what I use for my outdoor security cameras and they work flawlessly. Usb to 50-125ft runs of cat6 back to usb, all I need them for is 5v power to the cameras. Been running about 9 outdoor cameras for over a year now.

We use them in the K-12 world for our SmartBoard connection to a computer. There is a Cat6 connection the is hard wired in the building from under the white board in the front of the classroom, and the other end located near the teachers desk. Then you would use one of these with a short network cable to connect to the SmartBoard, and then the other one with a short network cable plugged into the wall by the teachers desk to then connect to their computer. If you are not familiar with how a SmartBoard works, they are a basically a giant mouse pad that you are projecting the computer screen onto the SmartBoard, giving you the ability hen to control your computer remotely. This is the technology that was first used before touch screens were around.

I got these for an extension for my DSLR that Im using as a webcam. But there seems to be a lot of lag... I was guided into getting a USB to ethernet adapter over USB extension cable, because it was faster and cheaper. the framerate is 1 - 2 frames per second. Is it that Im missing something or it might not work for this, Ive seen people use it with regular webcams and there is no loss, but that doesnt seem to be the case for me. Any ideas as to what I could do to get it working?

Absolutely not. The devices are not compatible with ethernet/ethernet hubs/ethernet switches in any way, they just happen to use the same kind of cable. You connect the pair of devices with a single ethernet cable between them to get a very long USB cable, that's the only arrangement that is valid.

The only way those things to make sense to be able to use them at such great distances through a ethernet cable is if it also has a power cable connected to the receiver a.k.a the female end lol… Usb 2.0 can be used to its full potential at a maximum of 16.4 feet where as usb 3.0 you could only extend that up to 12 feet or so and thats just if your using a extension cable… its weird how they advertise this product because the same rules i mentioned apply even with the Rj45 extenders…. After reaching a certain length it looses the signal and normally if you going past the distance you should with usb 2.0/3.0 then you need something that gives it external power from a wall outlet to function properly at any length

    • @marc_my_wordz
      @marc_my_wordz 2 года назад

The purpose of using this device which its rated for 45m (150feet) is solely just if you want to power a security camera or l.e.d.s etc… if your using it to transfer data or so its completely useless cause again usb 1.0/2.0/3.0 can only send/share a signal so many feet without another power source allowing the signal to travel further!

Your fist try seemed that you did the wrong connection. The two adapters not supposedly to connect together, of course they won't work. but instead you should've connected the two adapters via UTP cable. That's why they call it USB extender over UTP. Not the other way round.

WOW. 50 seconds in, and the electrical misunderstanding is hurting!
    - USB has 4 pins. Plus 5V red, GND black, and 2 data A & B, green&white.
    - CAT cable "only the coloured ones carry data"??? Total misunderstanding! These are 4 twisted pairs, and carry data in pairs:
The twisting is the whole secret of being able to carry data over long distances without disturbance. Putting all data on the coloured ones would defunct the twisting and carry your Gigabit for maybe 3 foot...
Correct is the POE part taking up 4 wires i.e. 2 pairs, blue plus, brown minus, *only if* talking about 10/100 mode B.
In gigabit, a totally different story.
    See pinout table on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_over_Ethernet
I hope you tell something useful later on.

No sir it’s not an extension cable it’s an adapter to transfer packets from rj45 to usb 3.0. It’s an important item for chrome and Mac books. So you use that adapter for something like a chromebook that has no rj45 port and you need to have a direct link to the network and not use WiFi. That’s the only reason for rj45 to usb or rj45 to type c adaptation. It seems legacy networking is still a staple. Use cat8 cord to get a better transfer rate. :)

You're absolutely wrong. Yes, there exist USB ethernet adapters that have male USB on one side and RJ45 jack on the other side, useful for Macs and chromebooks as you said. But what the video maker has here looks identical, but is a totally different thing. It is a pair of devices, which you put a CAT5 cable between, and it acts as a USB extension cable. Without any actual ethernet/networking going on. Source: CJS1037A datasheet.
