    Great review, and really good shooting too!
    This is a very interesting pistol.
    My friend and I sit in the truck waiting for weather to clear up here in Montana, and while we wait we see ground squirrels and cottontails everywhere. We are going to get this or the ranchero so we can shoot from the truck.
    After this awesome review, I lean toward this pistol for sure.

      Thanks. Not sure we will get out hands on a AT44 anytime soon, I'm sure there will be a lot of new products coming with SHOT show just around the corner to look at. I can tell you though, the AT44 is a nice gun. Quiet, accurate and reliable. It would be a good choice. And no, you want to leave air in your PCPs, not necessarily full, but always pressurized, it keeps dust and debris out of your gun.

    Sweet pistol Tyler.... approximates the power of the p-rod with slightly better accuracy. ( I’ve yet to find a pellet that will give me less than one inch at 50 yds).... all in a smaller pkg. Not sure about the price difference, tho🤔.... Anyway, good video, and, hey, keep the beard bro.... looks good on you

    Tyler -- Another solid review. I have a few questions; did you try any lighter JSBs -- 13 or 14 gr? Just wondering how they would do for accuracy and power. Also, have you, or will you test the .177 version? Any idea how many shots it's getting off a fill? Thanks!

    • @tylerpatner6591
      @tylerpatner6591 6 лет назад +1

      Thanks Jim. Of course, with every gun we review, I test all of the pellets available to me (usually 10-15) before we narrow it down for the on camera accuracy tests. The 14.3 grain JSBs did okay at 25 yards, but fell apart further out. I have shot a .177 and the shot count is about the same, maybe 20 at the factory set 13 FPE mark. I would think if you brought that down just a hair, you might be able to get another shot or two out of it.

    Hi and congratulations for your video.
    In my shooting club, the majority of persons tell me to put an red dot, and not a scope like I use to do .
    I want to notice that in the rules of this club, I only can use my HW44 in the 25 meters stand.
    I'm ready to change the scope for a red dot if you're agree too.
    So , I hope your rapid advice please, if you could (Iknow i'm not the only guy who ask you some advice about this amazing HW44).
    But I don't have a lot of holidays in my work, and I would use everyday day this week my HW44 to perform me at this fantastic arm.
    Best regards, my friend.

    Merci pour cet essai. Thanks.
    My english is bad ( i am french) and i don’t understand everything.
    I don’t see the test ´s caliber ?
    Is it .177 or 22 ?
    About your scope, can you give me the exact name.
    Do you recommand the .177 or .22 for club shot and plinking ?
    I aggree with you : the benjamin marauder pistol is not a pistol.
    Merci pour votre video but i don’t understand the connect problem. I am living in France and i will have an air bottle ( plongée-swimming down)
    Is it a problem to fill this pistol ?
    I think i will buy this hw44 pcp 699€ (not in france 899€ but in Spain 699€ )
    I hope you answer ..

    Bla bla bla everyone is going to say over priced.... i was back and fourth in between this and the ataman ap16, i chose the ap16. I like the 1911ness of the ap16. Tyler does pyramid air have the quick disconnect adapter that i need for my ap16 fill probe, if so can you through me a link to it so i get the proper one. Everyone else, you get what you pay for, you cant compare this to a marauder pistol or whatever. Honestly the ataman ap16 is the only pistol i think you can compare it to...

    • @tylerpatner6591
      @tylerpatner6591 6 лет назад +1

      Randy, the AP16 is a great gun, so long as the noise is not a huge concern for you, I am sure it will serve you well. As for a QD adapter, the gun comes with the two probes, one for QD and one for 1/8" BSPP threads....what fill device are you attaching to and what connection does that have? I am sure we will have what you need, just need to know what we are hooking up to. Thanks!

    What is better.......FX Ranchero .22 Cal or This gun ?????? let me know guys

    • @tylerpatner6591
      @tylerpatner6591 6 лет назад

      That's a tough one, they are very similar from a spec perspective. And accuracy is going to be similar. They're both good guns and you can't really go wrong either way. But, I'd give the edge to the HW for the following reasons: 1) it's regulated. 2) The trigger is better. 3) It's fully ambidextrous. 4) It's quieter. The only real edge the FX has over the HW is the adjustable transfer port giving you three different power settings at the turn of a lever. Outside of that, the HW44 would be my choice every day of the week.

    • @markr5009
      @markr5009 6 лет назад

      The FX Ranchero can have the air cylinders swapped out and replaced with bigger ones for more shot count and you can carry extra's in the field for more shots. Can the HW44 do this?

    • @tylerpatner6591
      @tylerpatner6591 6 лет назад

      The cylinder on the 44 is not removable. It and the HW110 have fixed cylinders.

    Gun is overpriced...for $1000 i could get a Refurb FX walnut streamline in .22, A refurb FX Wildcat Synth Stock .22, A Refurb Hatsan Galatian walnut .177 and have 400 left over. I did buy a FX Ranchero pistol for 1200 but this gun is highly modifiable. The atman AP16 is also overpriced and i did think of purchasing this one also but passed given what i could do for 1000 dollars. Thanks for the review though Tyler : )

    Now THAT is the Rolls Royce of air guns ! Other than for target shooting, what is the purpose of buying such a precision gun ? This is a HUGE investment, and I would think that after shooting this, why would you ever WANT to shoot anything else ? In other words, being new to the sport, is this just a rich man's gun ?

    • @tylerpatner6591
      @tylerpatner6591 6 лет назад +1

      Thanks Drew. I agree, the price is high, but there aren't many other options if you look at actual pistols. You have the Ataman AP16 which is great, but very loud. The closest competitor to the HW44 is the FX Ranchero, and the Ranchero is heavier, not regulated and about $100 more.

    • @tylerpatner6591
      @tylerpatner6591 6 лет назад +8

      That's not an apples to apples comparison though, this is a pistol....you're talking about a carbine, completely different. Shoot the Marauder Pistol as a pistol without the buttstock and tell me if you're getting 1" groups at 45 yards. I know with mine, that wasn't possible. It was a great 30 yard gun, but past that accuracy was not very good even with the butt stock

    • @giovannim5101
      @giovannim5101 6 лет назад +1

      Tyler what i wanted to say that you can take the Benjamin and accessorize to the hill plus my shoots jsb 18.13 at 25 yards 1 hole . 250 at 40 yards . 785 . muzzle energy of 13flb. Greg wnek is my man great sale rep.

    • @tylerpatner6591
      @tylerpatner6591 6 лет назад +6

      That's all well and good. Again, you're not comparing it to another air pistol though. If I wanted a carbine, I wouldn't buy an HW44, I'd buy a carbine. Just like if I want a hunting capable, PCP air pistol that I can actually shoot freehand, I'm not buying a marauder pistol.
