In the first scene I was wondering if ZZ top would be acting, too 😅
Jonathan Roumie did a live stream on someone’s Instagram and he was asked the question: Who would you like to see Dallas Jenkins play? And he thought about it for a while and said that he would love to see him as a Roman soldier. Maybe Dallas is doing it for him.😊
I trust Dallas' instincts so I have no problem with him being in a cameo role.
Don't care either way.
I don't give fig.
reminds me of stan lee in all the marvel movies
For me it would be super cool if Dallas played the centurion who said this man is truly the son of God! After all the all the work he’s done to bring us the Chosen and the word of God to such a wide audience x
Oh my goodness I thought the very same thing ❤
It would be more impactful if it was Quintus because I get the feeling he's going to play a huge role in season 6.
If Dallas wants to be in a scene that’s fine with me. Alfred Hitchcock did it and it never ruined his movies! Thanks Brandon for all you do. I appreciate it. Still waiting for season 4, sigh… Many blessings.
Alfred Hitchcock was always so fun that way! Deborah Harkness appeared in a scene at Oxford in A Discovery of Witches! It’s not unusual.
gosh. I really don't care if Dallas wants to be onscreen. He's losing his Original followers. NO Season 4 it's May 12. Saw the Angel May 9th Angel, idiot speech.Huge amount of $$ evolved, now. Still,ONLY about 5% have even seen Season 4.
Not particularly comfortable with Dallas showing up in The Chosen
@@barbarabaldwin7120and how many of those have contributed a penny? 95 percent are getting the show completely free…they need to be patient.
About the big $ number, remember Angel Studios got at least 20% more than that, not counting what they were able to generate from people joining Angels Guild.
What if Dallas was secretly in every episode all along and he was like the Stan Lee of The Chosen.
WAIT what if when we get to Heaven we see a familiar face and it’s a background extra in every episode and it was our Creator making cameos! 🤯😂
LOL -- I think it's fabulous that Dallas is fulfilling a fantasy -- with all his hard work, he deserves it!!
I don't have problems with Dallas being at the scene. He created it so he does whatever he wants. I know he's going to act also. It's everyone's dream! He worked hard to promote the chosen so he deserves to be on it.
It would be a blessing if Dallas plays in his own movie. God bless you Dallas. Shalom
I hope he does appear. I do like the idea of it being a light and humorous scene, and I agree with you (and Dallas) that he shouldn't "break the mood" of a serious scene. I have absolutely loved the humor (levity even) of the Chosen, and will enjoy searching for Dallas in season 5.
I thinks it’s great that Dallas does a cameo on The Chosen, he created it and he can whatever he wants
Dallas in The Chosen like Alfred Hitchcock in HIS films.
And Quentin Tarantino did that too!
Fine. Ego Who cares.
The Chosen app now shows Season 4 episode 1 with a soon release date and the episode title!
Yeah I’m about to make a quick video about it.
@@TheChosenSleuth My business friend got an email from them saying May 30th so maybe.....
I’d love to see Dallas in a scene!
Just wish both sides understood that promoting Christianity and entertainment with movies and a show about Jesus and the New Testament of Christ can reflect poorly on what their objective is trying to do with " The Chosen ". When they obviously are quarreling in court rooms with lawyers over 100 of millions of dollars and at the same time both sides are trying to reach souls and hearts for Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of this World though God the Father and The Holy Ghost or Spirit.
You could hav said that in 5 words, but yes. The Rich have time to play. The rest of us Enjoy "TheChosen," but are sick of being patronized, and told to"Wait.' When the "4 to 7 weeks" are UP--and nothing changes? Our house will unpack our "Waiting" tents, and find new Faithful homes.......Blessings and Happy Mother's Day to all-even to Angel--who we must "forgive."
They are not in court. They are in Arbutration. Big difference, though both are legally settled, arbitration does not involve the courts or a judge. Just a mediator.
@@cathyhughes8484 That is worse yet news... but thanks anyway.
@@jasonmartin7711 I was told May 30 so fingers crossed.
I think that's awesome about Dallas! I hope he is in it and not just playing around with the costumes!
Always enjoy your "sleuth" videos. Thanks for keeping us up to date on The Chosen! ❤
Go for it Dallas. It's your movie. You would do great.
Great video! It's fine with me for Dallas Jenkins to be in The Chosen. It will probably be what you said: a small light moment. So excited for Season 5!!!
If we eve are so blessed as to get to see it.SEASon 4 Dallas had put Disabled folk, out in downtown streets, in the night, getting out at dark , and has not addressed the issue of $$$. Most Americans are living paycheck to paycheck!
Remember that guy in red who appears talking to John and Zebedee? It is Malchus, the high priest's servant.
He starts talking to them about the oil, which is produced by Zebedee and used by the priests.
The quality of the oil catches Malchus' attention, so he becomes almost a friend of John.
This is how John becomes known to the high priest, to the point that he can enter the courtyard of Caiaphas' house and bring Peter.
Brilliant!
Which Season and Episode, please?
@@sonnenielsen5461 I'm talking about some behind the scenes of season 5. It's not out yet.
@@d4vidsilva931 thank you. I’ve seen S4, but couldn’t recall the scene you were describing-this explains why!
IF Dallas has decided or does decide to be a Roman soldier in The Chosen, I don't think it will bother or distract me much. Once its a background cameo or a couple seconds of lighthearted fun. That'll be a great reminder to many that this show is a show and NOT a replacement for The Scriptures.
yes, read the bible as much as you can. but also i think it is much better to watch the chosen than starwars or something like that. the chosen might deviate from scripture a little, but not as much as jesus of nazereth did. and at least it is wholesome and you get to hear the parables and jesus's teaching in a tv show
That's basically what Mel Gibson did, right? His cameo in The Passion was the Roman soldier nailing Jesus to the Cross.
@@alexf.6521 Jesus Christ of Nazareth loves you infinitely and unconditionally ❤️❤️
Which has been stated over and over: "Not a replacement for the Scriptures."
@@alexf.6521 Yes, every nativity story I have seen in movie form always has the wise men show up the night Jesus is born and we know that is not accurate but I still love movies like The Nativity. Just look at how far off the Ten Commandments strayed with story lines.
I think that might be Erick Avari next to Centurion Dallas
If so - Her name is Davora (don't know if that's spelled correctly). Makes sense because it's Passover and everyone goes to Jerusalem if they can.
Dvora
The closer to the Passover, the more intense things get
Wow, Dallas makes a GREAT Roman soldier. I, personally, didn't recognize him.
It worked for Stan Lee in the Marvel movies. Dallas, go for it!!
That will be fun to see Dallas in a scene…I almost didn’t recognize him.
My only question regarding this is, "Can he act?" 😎
I'm EXTREMELY GOOD at distinguishing stuff like these... THIS IS ON FACT, Judas's sister, for sure!❤❤❤❤
Thank you Brandon
Thanks Brandon, for pointing out the obvious, and yet remaining Fair to all.
A mic stand and a cool dude with sunglasses.
Brandon: at ChosenCon Dallas said S5 would have back stories on Thad & Little James so maybe this scene is tied to Thad’s story.
Yeah exactly, we’ve already seen hints of the little James story as well.
I thought Dallas was doing something about Season 4 from the thumbnail. Sorry Brandon. Gotta save this one till I watch Season 4. My work schedule kept me from seeing it at the theatre.
Remember the guy with the blue standing in the way when Cafney passes by it looks like Rafi but not sure or maybe.
I support Dallas Jenkins cameo. Of course he is tremendously responsible and know very well that every The Chosen fan will easily recognize him as soon as he appears.
Stan Lee did it masterfully in Marvel movies, always appearing in light mood scenes, but I hate comparing a real story that is the Bible, to fiction as Marvel movies.
I expect him to appear as an extra without interacting with any character, maybe opening a door to someone, or something.
I like Dallas playing a Roman soldier on Season Five! Very cool!
I understood from “The Chosen”, Season 3 script that Judas did not just agree to follow Jesus. He approached Him and asked if he could follow Him. So different than the others.
Yes, and in scripture... Jesus never asked Judas to follow Him. He just never turned him away from following...
And if they go the way of Judas turning Jesus In because “ he hoped Jesus would fight the Roman’s” that’s not biblical either. Scripture specifically states that Satan overcame Judas!
Looking forward to see that scene with Dallas.😉😅
I wanted to mention two things, when I was watching the 5 and 2 RUclips livestream, Jonathan came on for a few minutes and he had a whip in his hand and was pretending to tip over their table. He mentioned doing a 16 page scene and it was apparently him turning over the tables in the temple. He also was asked a question by the person who runs his fan page on what character did Jonathan see Dallas portraying on the Chosen and he said a Roman soldier. So I thought Dallas was just dressed like that because of what Jonathan said as a joke. Of course I could be wrong.
But who cares, now? The viewers are supposed to WAIT, and be silent, and we are Done with that! If there isn''t Paid streaming of 4 and on? Why "Wait"anymore?.Nothing is ever ever ASSURED, and Angel's rep talked for an hour, and LIED. I feel sorry for the cast and crew, and am DONATING TO NO ONE--UNTIL SEASON 4 IS SEEN, entire!!!
@@barbarabaldwin7120 I understand your frustration, unfortunately this is what happens when money is involved. For the sake of the show, hopefully this will be resolved soon.
@@barbarabaldwin7120Angel studios has said from the beginning that The chosen has not released season 4 to them. So who’s right?
Jonathan Roumie recently did a livestream and Ornella from the Jonathan Roumie fan page asked him if he could cast Dallas in the chosen who would he cast him as, and Jonathan made some funny comments and then said a Rome soldier, so maybe this was a old photo posted in response to that.. i don’t know for sure just taking a guess
Steven King always has a cameo appearance in his movies!
Judas is asking what many of the other disciples have already asked, to which Jesus consistently responded, “So yes, I am willing to do the will of my Father.”
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John....
Where the heck is Mark and Luke????
Dallas mentioned that movie is Not fully biblical.
Luke is in the Chosen Christmas video, the messengers.
Here's a scoop. On a recent live Jonathan answered the question what role would he cast Dallas in if he was the director. He said Dallas clearly would be a Roman. This may be a reaction to that comment.
Thanks I have audio now❤
Judas was the only one that asked Jesus to be part of his ministry. The others were either called by Jesus or joined organically.
Portraying Judas as entirely well-meaning, merely trying to force Jesus into a traditional Messiah role, is actually not original (e.g., "Jesus" from 2000). And the biggest problem with it is that it is nowhere in Scripture, while Judas having freely chosen evil after having been offered the greatest good is everywhere that he is mentioned. Now that is truly mysterious, the great "problem of evil." I hope The Chosen doesn't miss the opportunity to look it at it squarely and agonize a bit over why, oh why, do we do that.
Alfred Hitchcock was King of cameos. I believe that is the best way for a director to insert him or herself into a shot.
I personally like the idea!
I always love a good Easter egg! 🥚
I think it would be nice for him to appear in his TV series
Peter Jackson, the director of the Lord of the Rings movies, appeared in a brief cameo in each of the films of the trilogy. I’m glad Dallas is doing this :-)
Nope, I don't mind him being in The Chosen either... I'm sure whatever role he does have will be tasteful and respectful...as respectful as a Roman soldier can be I suppose... wait uh..😢
6:05 - a third of the way down the pic looks like googly eyes.😵💫
Good point about Judas being with his sister, it's a good way of getting over what's going through his mind. Looking back this has been set up since we first met her and he's always been an enthusiastic supporter with his own ideas about how it should go (as you've pointed out before).
I wonder if they'll introduce Mark in the build up to Gethsemane (Mark 14:51-52).
Why not? As long as it doesn’t detract from the flow of the storyline being portrayed. I say, go for it. I would want to, if it was me.
It doesn't matter it's his show. After all. Steven King was in all his movies small section
Jonathan said he would cast him as a Roman soldier. It's all photo shop.
I agree Dallas will probably cameo in a more lighthearted scene.
cool dude with sunglasses on.
Dallas as a Roman soldier? Works for me. Can't wait to see where or if he shows up in the costume. As we all know, there were many extra soldiers in town during that Holy Week; it might be hard to spot him if he is actually in a scene.
We can see him on You Tube.
I haven’t even seen season 4 😢
I just want to see season 4🥴
it doesn't do us any good to talk about season 4 while filming season 5, when a lot of us have never been able to see 4 yet
I trust Dallas instincts so I have no problem with being ina cameo role
I clearly remember Dallas commenting on one of those post that if anyone found him in a scene on the Chosen that he would pay them a million dollars.
A joke obviously. There is a schism in "The Chosen" now.. Not enough plain talk.
Yes! Like Spike Lee! I said this was a good idea!!
It would make sense for Judas's sister to appear. Good shows bring back earlier characters for the climatic episodes.
Check to see if Dallas is missing an ear 😂
I had the same thought 😆
I think it will be good, as someone else mentioned Mr Hitchcock appeared in his films. I never noticed that, so I will have forgotten your post by next year and not even notice Dallas as a Roman Soldier🤣
I don't think the rest of this "plane "is gonna fly. ................ Season 6, & 7, may never be seen if THIS is how things run---- - I found a little church over 90-years old, that is close enough to attend, and they helped me SEE Season 4, episodes 1-4. So: that's Done. Paratransit Van picked someone up there--or I'd have never brought it to mind, a new church..
I have often heard people saying that that is what they believed!
Just like Stan Lee in the Marvel movies. Love it!
I may have misinterpreted what was being said about Judas, but we have an almighty God who foreknew everything since the beginning of time, and an all powerful God who wouldn't need a human being to fulfill his prophecy. Nowhere in the Bible does it in any way portray Judas as anything but a disciple of Jesus who betrayed him. It also talks about his betrayal elsewhere in the Bible. If there was any goodness behind what he did, it would have been mentioned.
Brandon, I can’t figure out how to contact you privately. I am a fairly new Patreon subscriber. I receive the emails and I’m signed into the app, but it won’t let me watch of the Patreon content. Can you help me, please?
sounds goog ..like the way this is working out
I think it is fine if Dallas wants to be in the scene
It's fine if he's in a scene. He acts out everything anyway
😁
Could you reverse the visual set up so we could see the scene and just hear you or no?
Hi, I enjoy your videos. Can you confirm this for me? In a previous video, I heard Dallas say that the crucifixion would be in season 7, but if season 5 is Holy Week, I find it hard to believe it would take two more seasons to get to the crucifixion. If Dallas is really in a scene as a Roman guard, might he be the one who pierces Jesus' side while he's on the cross?
Hey there!
Crucifixion is season 6 (basically focused entirely on a 24 hr period) then the resurrection is season 7
I am unable to watch the Chosen seson 3 and 4. You help me to keep up with I can't see.
You can watch season 3 pretty much anywhere! The chosen app, the Angel app, Netflix, even Hulu now. Season 4 is not out yet.
I’m watching it on my phone, so not a very big screen to see details. But just a little suggestion if you want us to see well, maybe you could have the shot of the scene bigger and not a third of what we see, and you are double in size. To be honest, this always bothers me. Otherwise great video. Thanks
Can’t unfortunately, I explain this quite often lol. The video is a vertical video. To make it any bigger on RUclips I would have to cut off the top and bottom of the videos.
It’s difficult to see much of the behind the scenes in the split screen. Not sure where you get your footage, but what is shown is such a small sliver of a frame that it’s hard to confirm anything.
He saw that, too.
I was hoping you’d comment on that pic Dallas shared in reels that looks like the shekinah glory……
I did 😁 just not in this specific section
Sorry I missed it! How can I see it?
I got no problem with Dallas being in any of the scenes but how would that work
I have always been very ambivalent regarding my thoughts about Judas. Yes, he chose to betray Jesus, but somebody had to do it (in order for Jesus to be arrested and the events to take place, leading to Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice). In some respects. Judas fulfilled what was he was chosen to do. In the end, Judas regrets his decision to betray Jesus.
Dallas must be playing the most cowardly Roman soldier ever because how could you ever take him serious? 😂😂😂
Dallas can do whatever he wants to. Look at what he's done already
I think that idea about Judas’ character makes his suicide make more sense. Regret not repentance. But scripture clearly says Satan enters Judas.
yeah I think it's both for sure. Satan can't just take someone over, there are steps that come before that could ever happen.
Satan can’t take over a believer. Judas had no repentance. He was described in scripture as the betrayer.
@@kkelley3134Right but Judas was also given the authority to cast out demons and heal when he was sent out with the other 11 Apostles to the cities so he had to have believed in Jesus and followed Him. But just like any fallible human being, when leaning on their own understanding instead of God’s, they can become blind and fall prey to their temptation which leads to sin and so on
We've readThe Book... If " The Chosen" is now just a juicy bone, dragged around between "TC"and "Angel? NO one remembers us, except for our $$$$$......
Look up Charles Wright's poem" St. Judas-"-food for thought.....
Dallas was in his first film. Guy sleeping on the plane.
The Chosen app has a new tab that says "Season 4: coming soon", I think this is new but correct me if Im wrong!
Yeah thats very new, goodness me, we might get season 4 before the second coming lol.
@@lukewilliams448 I was told by 'someone' who has a business that carries the chosen in his store that he got an email saying May 30. (I went into the store to ask him and he is a friend of mine.)
@@ruthking7884 If they are aware that the date of release will be May 30th, they should be advertising that on the app, they have taken so many unfair liberties with the fanbase these past few months (such that some people have given up on The Chosen), they at least owe us some level of certainty.
I will play devil’s advocate. Judas did try to give the money back but it was too late. Technically he paid for the brutal Crucifixion
Dallas dressed as a Roman bc of Jonathan’s payback comment that he would cast Dallas as the soldier that pierced the side of Jesus on the cross.
Well we ever see episode 4.
Go for it Dallas
Why?
Good catch and ideas about Judas' motives
Don’t muzzle the ox
Visually, Dallas would be the most convincing Roman soldier in The Chosen. His toned figure, height and face fit perfectly. He's exactly the right age. He looks like a true Germanic. I always thought Gaius was a bit too gaunt and old for his role. I have no problem with him appearing on his own show...as long as they do it in the right and serious way.
Gaius is one of my favourite characters and has been since day one. He does a great job.
Yes, that IS Judas' sister no doubt.
Don't want Dallas making a cameo. It would be dumb and make it unserious. Dallas is a fun guy, but he's also a serious guy knowing it would make the critical and devastating Crucifixion into a joke by putting himself in it as a centurion - or any role.
It's like Stan Lee in Marvel
that's her for sure
Good job
The reason judas is going to betray jesus in the chosen is the one i have seen The most in other religous movies, its the most common reason if you have seen other Jesus movies, an actual uncommon one is the one in passion of christ where he is doing it for selfish reasons
That’s not biblical
Though. The Bible states specifically that Satan overcame Judas, not that Judas wants Jesus to fight back!
I wonder if Dallas will take a cue from Mel Gibson with The Passion--Mel's cameo being the Roman soldier who nails Jesus to the Cross.
This is what I am thinking. Or he will be the soldier who pierces Jesus’s side at the cross.
nah,
NAHI T WOULD BE "BREAKING THE 4TH WALL".... LIKE AN ACTOR ON STAGE, COMNG OUT OF CHARACTER----to talk to the audience.
THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.
@@barbarabaldwin7120 I think you've made your point. 😂
