Have you ever seen Bronze Cowboy videos? He has a fake arm that helps sell the illusion. I think your dog's broken leg is an advantage for you because it draws attention to the dog, so when you suddenly move people are even more startled. What if you had a fake arm, but it was broken too? That would sell the illusion even more. People who would otherwise suspect you're a person would see the broken arm and realize you're just a statue. It would probably be a lot of effort, but it might be fun too. Just an idea.
