- These stories prove it’s not easy being tall. In 2022, Guinness World Record holder Rumeysa Gelgi lived out her dream of traveling the world thanks to Turkish Airlines. In 2020, 17-year-old Maci Currin had the longest legs in the world. In 2015, Colleen Smith and Lindsey Kay Hayward, two of the tallest women in America, shared their journey with Steven Fabian. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.

Oh rats,... I am ONLY 5'7". I am the second tallest girl out of three girls (One of my sisters is almost 6' 3" tall then myself at 5'7" and also the youngest, and my third sister is ONLY 5'3" she is the middle). I am however as tall as my only brother...😂

I don’t like want I’m about to say, but if you’re over 7 feet, you need a lot of food to survive, and a lot of energy, since blood needs more energy to run through the body.

Yeah you're right. And you wouldn't even have to be 7 feet. You start to see a reduction in people's lifespans if they're 6'5" or taller.

My growth charts predicted I would be 5’9.. i stopped growing in sixth grade at the height of 5’2 instead.

@@WarofThoughtsno, I've seen many times that childhood growth doesn't always predict adult height. A better indicator is the height of their parents.
When I was a kid, another girl and I were always the tallest in the class. In the end, she (average height parents) stopped growing as an early teen, and ended up quite average, I (tall mom and very tall dad) just kept growing.

Used to hate being short but as I’m older now, I’ve embraced God’s blueprint and my parents genetics and find that being a short woman isn’t all that bad. At 44 years old being 5’0 and 95lbs with a young face, I still get mistaken for being in my 20s which isn’t a bad thing. Gotta accept and love yourself.

That's the way forward.
Being short isn’t easy either. People walk into you constantly and think you’re a child calling you darling and sweetheart. And you need a myriad of contraptions just to get by from day to day. What needs to change is people’s perceptions of if you don’t look like everyone that doesn’t mean you’re any less of a human being and would like to be treated equally and respectfully.

I grew up short, all through school, but turned 6 ft. while in the Army. Being short sucked and being taller is way better👍🏼
I'm 6'2 being this tall is comfortable but I have trouble fitting in most beds I can't imagine being taller.

Being tall has its advantages and disadvantages, imagine facing a super tall and buff warrior that’d be quite intimating though on the other hand moving requires more energy and effort I think

My great-aunt Hissy is taller than her older sister. When my great-aunt Peggy was 11 years old, she was already as tall as an adult. A tall guy named Corey used to go to church with me and my family. Mommy's friend, whom I call Aunt Georgia, is very tall.

3:17 I do have heel adaptive feet. Tiptoing is the primary habit for me while barefoot or with socks. I walk and run with this tiptoe pose. It may be easier to walk down those stairs for people who have heel adaptive feet.
I'm 6'3" and wouldn't want to be any taller than that. 6'4" is usually when you start hitting your head a little bit. I'm just out of noggin knock range.

@@louisjaugustin8673 I love being 6'3! I'm usually the tallest person in the room or close to it, but am not affected by most of the handicaps that come along with great height. The world is built for people under 6' and following the rule of 3, they give everyone 3 inches of leeway lol.

Being tall has its pros and cons. I'm a guy and 5'10 in height, and won't be growing any taller than that. So I honestly do feel short, but I don't make any complaints about my height. I also wouldn't feel intimidated dating a young lady taller than me, just as long as she isn't too much taller than me.

Meanwhile my sister is 22 & still looks like a 11 year old just with 2 weirdly large extra additions - my mom’s side of the family tend to be short, larger, & with enormous breasts. All of these women represent like 70% of the women their height if I had to guess lol that's nuts. I'm 6'4 and when I come across another dude out in the wild who's my height, or taller, I always notice because it's so rare to see. If I saw a bunch of women who were taller than me and they weren't capable of standing in for Sloth in The Goonies, I'd be amazed. But I think it would be cruel for two very tall people to have babies because that child would be like 9 feet tall and live to only like 47 years old because you just don't live long when you're giant like that.
