I made the same decision as far to buying tools . 26 years later I still maintain my own truck and cars . 300,000 there still running under my own repairs!! Tool investment is how I convinced my self to keep buying.
I try and keep it clean haha luckily the landlords walked by it twice and just holds her breath so far haha I know her husband who walks behind her always has a huge smile on his face so he's probably on my team.
Very cool assortment! I recently bought a Military truck, similar to my C30 crewcab truck, came with a snap on GMTK complete new just old, looks unused. Been towing my kei truck to my property to do work, going to assemble an all metric set to keep in the kei truck, may just go with all harbor freight icon and quinn stuff. But youre giving me great ideas!
Oh man that's a score for sure I've seen some of those kits you got lucky with the snap on one they had some different brands. Williams sockets would be my go to for a mobile kit but if you want a great deal check out toptul they are out of Taiwan and I think they make a lot of big brands sockets jmtoolco.com/collections/sockets-sets/products/39pc-1-4-3-8-1-2-dr-6-point-metric-socket-set
@JunkyardTools I got a gov van this afternoon at auct, 7.3L v8, 2022, came with a gmtk that says williams! Oddly it has 4x4 like the f350 counter parts haha. 27k original miles, was 18k haha. Bought a highway patrol charger, awd, 5.7L v8, came with dodge branded tool kit, had 88k miles. Ripping apart and freshening.

Those Blue Point wrenches on a stick as you call them, are great. Was doing underdash work on a Chevy, that was the only way that job was getting done. Unfortunately I was borrowing them from another tech.

Living room Toolbox! You obviously made some solid decisions in the relationship department. I assume your happy, single, get to keep 100% of your income and put shit where you wanna put shit in your own home lol. Ata boy👍...Nice collection man! Solid choices, solid brands.... If you ever wanna try a killer roto head in lue of those Titan's pickup a KTC. Super compact head, smooth, nice knurling. Kinda like a roto version of the Tone compact. Never thought I was a roto guy, now they're my go to...Btw, if you like those Nepros, that new version does address all those issue's, lower button, more compact head and a hollow handle for🎉 nice balance. I still love my Koken and I'd love to see a torque test done to failure. I think they just might be stronger than they feel.
Cool. I have the tone 3/8 anvil in 1/4" body, non-flex 100mm and the Koken 3/8" 5" non-flex (with the crazy low back drag). They are awesome. You gotta checkout the Koken Nut-Grip sockets.

Whats the part number on the james bond wera? You should check out the ktc roto head ratchet. Its freaking amazing!! Makes the snap on roto head ratchet look like snickle fritz for a 1/4 of the price!! Tone is my least favorite japanese ratchet brand (if it's even made in Japan). I'm not quite convinced that its fully made in Japan. I like the kokens way better than the tone. In my opinion, most tone ratchets have trash back drag. The compacts and 1/4" versions are ok, but all the others are extremely high back drag. I actually had to modify and trim the spring inside to lower the back drag in several of my tone ratchets. Tone has phenomenal sockets though. I mean high quality, beautiful sockets for the money. They are almost identical to the koken sockets. I'm not a fan of nepros tbh. They look beautiful, but they aren't that great. I have had several that lock up, and I hate that they are all quick release. They are beautifully finished, and i have 7 of them, but I'm done buying them. They are overpriced for what you get. Koken is a much much better value. Ares sells those astro socket rails too. I absolutely love them!! If you get them from ares, they are much cheaper. You get 2 for $50 instead of $35 a piece from Astro. They are called Ares socket vault. I have a dining room toolbox because I live in an apartment, so I'm digging the living room toolbox tour!!
Ya the back drag on the tone is probably why I don't own every single one but for some reason that's exactly what my mind tells me I need..
