The reason for lag is rx6500 has 4 PCIe gen 4 lanes and rx5500 has 8 PCIe gen 3 lanes but ryzen 5 5600h only have gen 3 PCIe lanes because of that it has less bandwidth for rx6500

This is the only honest review i have seen for this Laptop.Only video who talks about the drop in framerate in the laptop which is insanely bad.Impossible to play any game on this laptop.I wonder why other videos do not talk about this problem

bro in omen gaming hub set the performance to default and fans to auto because the cpu temperature is getting high to 85 to 92 c but when the fans set to max when we set the fans to auto the cpu will be at 65 to 75 this laptop has some cooling issues so its not the gpu or cpu but the cooling issue and gpu is good at 50w i am getting a nice framerate at high setting i have this laptop i played 3 games which are cpu intensive this laptop good that rx6500m getting nice framerate at 50w of power just try that it will be fine no big stuttering appear and windows 11 also a have a problem with gamebarpresencewrite it takes more ram then normal usage the gpu doesnt have any problem so try this it will be fine

@@Thetrader6768 it's because of cpu is over heating and GPU is getting heated because the heat pipes are taking heat from cpu and dumping it on GPU try to lower your locking speeds of cpu i done it but windows only, windows 11 have locked option in power profile you can unlock those by a tool you can check it in RUclips about it

The reason of sudden frame drop is :
It is speculated that the CPU and GPU draws too much power from the mainboard which makes sense as throttling the CPU stops the stutters.

RX6500M is absolutely not recommended as it drops frames alot. If you want to choose only between this model, I will prefer ASUS

At this point go for minimum rtx 2050 under 55k and if you can go for rtx 3050 under 60k but these gpu are not future proof as they have 4gb vram latest games demands 6gb vram for eg-tekken 8 you cannot go above medium settings on 4gb vram cards

Even I have the exact same laptop but till today it works perfectly without an frame drops like how you have encountered. I guess I am lucky and I run almost all games without any problem of this kind. I also think that there might be sometimes an error with the GPU Driver, so i think after the driver update it might perform as it should.
Bro I also have the sam laptop but I face the problem of major fps drops after 10-15 seconds, and it's continuous. Driver is fully updated but still there's no progress

AMD processor has 2 features which increases temperature and brings stutters
Just do 3 steps with it to boost it's performance
1) Turn off Core Isolation in settings
2) Turn off over locking for temperature
3)Make sure bottom side of laptop is free to throw out hot air

That's just a software issue.. your CPU and GPU temp. are all over the place and it's called throttling not a major issue just use a laptop stand instead for a smoother gameplay .

The 6500m performs horribly when combined with CPUs that support only pci 3.0 & ryzen 5000 series supports only pci 3.0 which is a terrible mismatch when combined with 6500m. Go and google it yourself to see the reviews of people who have that card.

The problem is not with the laptop the problem is that it is not properly tuned by hp which causes performance and stability issues...u have to set the power plan to high performance cap the temps to around 75° to 80°....i'm not facing any slutters and lag till date

To all the people who have bought this laptop i am leaving this comment as a help to you so if you can and it is replaceable in time you should replace this laptop with a better model and if you can't like me go and upgrade the ram to 20 gb yeah if you do so it will increase the potential of the laptop and the bottle neck problem will resolve with an average temperature of 70°. I would say that for all the basic work and all its ok but for gaming not a chance all the lag and frame drop after every 2 sec will make you destroy it but if you can't afford a new just increase the ram to 20 and it will resolve the issue quit a lot but you will still face your lags in all the game so it's your choice do it and your will never need to replace the laptop

@@devanshtandon5972 in update the hp mentioned that there is a cpu vitals problem like measuring temperature . You can see there is difference in cpu temperature in Msi afterburner and omen hub it's fixed no I don't have huge drops but in older game fps is so low I am trying to fix that now

better but lots of frame drops make games unplayable. not recommended. atleast in gtx1650 you can experience smooth gaming at little low fps.
