Having just finished catia v5 training in England, I am super surprised how similar and great this free and open sourced software is. This is an excellent program.
It's always good to learn open-source software. Because one can use it without the hassle of purchasing which is particularly useful for teaching the masses.

Thank you for making this series. Could you possibly do a tutorial on the FreeCAD Ship workbench? There's a 2-part written tutorial on the FreeCAD site but it's hard to follow. A very clear tutorial on this module, in English, is sorely needed. Best would be a walkthrough of making a complete 3D ship model from a preexisting ship plan that has the lines on it. Thanks!
PartDesign pattern can only work on features from a single part. Such a feature would be built using a sketch mapped on a face of this solid. By definition a ball bearing is an assembly. To create a radial pattern of your sphere, you can use the Draft Array instead.
I'm having trouble finding information on the format of the Point Cloud ASCII file that FreeCAD reads. I've tried comma delimited values, starting with an index, and the x,y,z coordinates which loads without an error.... but displays nothing. I'm at a bit of a loss.
can i you Question relation to your java program you mad i work a program that i need to print to a 3d printer is the same as code use to print a normal print or is different if so can you send a example please that can use.
Trim tool did not work no matter what I did. This program is very very difficult to understand its functions and tools compared to Google sketch-up. I using ubuntu.

Update - Oh, in fact there's no content at all. I searched for "FreeCAD tutorial" and your video was number 1, because it's called "FreeCAD tutorial". But it ISN'T a FreCAD tutorial. It's about what it is and how to get it etc. In this world it osn't matter who you are or how good you are at your subject. People don't have the patience to accomodate you poor focus. Again - I hoe it's helpful. I've struggled on YT and I wish more people woould tell me what's wrong because that's the stuff tha drives hange for the better.
I worked for 11 years with inventor, but I will give this a try. I could learn this program to my African co-workers who can't afford autodesk

with the upcomming 3d printers i am realy intrested in start drawing 3d things. freecad opened my world and its FREE , this is just awsome.
