That's exactly why I tell people not to set "goals" for winning and losing in poker. It leads players to force situations to make their goal; instead of focusing on what's important: Is the game good? Am I playing well? Am I feeling good mentally and physically? It can take time to develop the discipline; especially if you don't get to play all the time.
1) sizing tells in preflop opens are pretty obvious 2) don't commit with just top pair in bomb pots 3) go big on value 4) no need to bluff at 1/2 5) thin value bets 6) minimize your mistakes while capitalizing on other people's mistakes 7) You're in Dallas. Go to TCH for a change of scenery when you feel stuck or in a rut.
Dont like the call with aq of clubs. Thats a punt against a 3 bet turn range. The JT hand i think was okay obvious not a great spot to call 40 pretty shallow. But definitely gotta go with it on flop. Ak played perfect (no need to make him show) kto call was horrible. But very happy to make the nuts tho lol. Kq i like how you played it. Last 10s hands was dne perfect. Great video!
Wtf are these huge pre-flop raise amounts (15, 20, 25, even 40) in a 1-2 game? Also, the bets on the flop or turn are small IMO (probably as a result of huge bets pre-flop and small stack sizes in relation to the pot).
do you really think raiseing to 15$ for a 1/2 game is a good idea when like the average stack is like 200-300. I feel like you have to play so tight if 15 is the open with stacks these sizes. in stead of playing 150BB you are playing more like 60
@@chpokervlog yea but just because everyone else is playing a lot of hands opening for 15 does not mean it's technically right. like when you called the 40$ raise with 150 behind. I mean I think that was really bad yea if you both have like 500 behind I don't think it's bad but with 150 to start the hand you have to be much tighter.
@@danielhenry6777 raise enough to a point where you still get callers. Do it with your value hands pre. Building the pot with superior hands is never a bad thing.
When you play this many hands terribly as you admit, you’re probably a bad player. There’s no chance you’re on a downswing from running bad when you play like this. Someone has to be real with you
Have to agree with this. You play bad all the time. If you don't run real good you are going to lose. That isn't really what a downswing is. You played bad and ran good later in the session. It might feel great when this happens, but winning by playing bad doesn't teach you how bad you are playing. Losing when playing bad and bemoaning your (perceived) bad luck, also teaches you nothing.
Okay, yeah. You kinda deserve to be turned into a marshmallow for that bomb pot. Super wet board, and you're calling another how much to at best chop that $40 shove? Please, pretty please, with sugar on top, always make them flip it over.
@chpokervlog I've totally seen the reverse. Someone says they've got something to induce a fold. And, well. It's a pet peeve. If I've paid to see the hand, I deserve to see your range damn it. Info is key.
I appreciate the effort and energy you put into making vlogs, but any chance you go back to how you used to do your voice overs? The fake enthusiasm wasn't there in the first few vlogs, but now it is every hand. There's nothing surprising about a couple of fish calling a donk lead on a rag board.
I am far from a world champ with thousands of hours at live low stakes with a $23/hour winrate. The rake or seat fee always wins in any game, obviously. But, it's pretty easy to make some money at low stakes.
Downswings are tough brother. Keep grinding man!
