Hi there! Just found your channel and subscribed. I like your background music and the informative videos. I am thinking to go back to DR on my own. We just visited Puerto Plata during 2 weeks cruise. I spent my formative years in The DR and I consider myself a dominican, however my family moved back to the US. I am thinking to visit with my best friend and explore the island since I don't know all of it. We are planning to rent an apartment in each region for at least 4 days. I wonder how safe do you feel renting a car and traveling around the island?" What places should we avoid? We are not interested in the nightlife. We are middle age people who enjoy nature and walks.
Hi, Mia! Thank you for your comment and subscription! 🤗 Me and my friends rented a car just few times - and it was rather safe and comfortable. But now I prefer traveling by bus - it can be rather convenient, if you plan your trip ahead. Now I mostly live in Las Terrenas, Samana. I love this region: it is not so crowded, as Punta Cana, but the beaches are great, unique waterfalls and you can also go whale watching. Also I was in Puerto Plata and Punta Cana - I felt safe there also! I’ve only heard that it can be dangerous in Santo Domingo in some districts at night 😑 So, hope you’ll have a wonderful trip! @@galatravel Vegetable oils are the most processed toxic thing they sale. You should watch some videos by CarnivoreMD, also, he has very good short videos too When I changed my way of eating, that changed my life for better.
