Not even a preds fan but huge respect for how aggressive Tortz has been since taking over. Love seeing GMs with a clear plan and the guts to make big moves.
Barry Trotz is the man. 😉
I have a lifetime of Red Wings swag to dump.
I became a Preds follower over the last few years and they will be fun to watch in the coming season.
The Preds had Vancouver very close.
Vancouver didn't have Venzia trophy x3 nominee Demko, while Nashville had a clean bill of health. Vancouver played 3rd string goalie and won. Nashville understands that they have an older team, instead of going into a full rebuild Trotz has decided to embrace it. The way I see it, nashville has a 2-3 year cup window. After that all the players are old. Could nashville have won? Never. Vancouver is 100x better.
Glad to see a GM who see’s Marchy’s value and is willing to pay him what he is worth and give him the credit he deserves! He gets better every year and wants to win every game he plays. Go Marchy! We love you!
They underpaid him in terms of AAV, he was just as good as Stamkos last year
great signings Nashville is a much better team
Congrats to Jeremy Lauzon., monster season. Mark Lauzon, Windsor. Keep it up Lad.Take Charge.! Nothing better than seeing, our Family Name in the Show.!
Thankyou.,He's paid his dues.Tough Kid
Go Val D'or
Preds winning the cup
Cup of soup at the golf course restaurant concourse? Sure! Try the TRIPE!
I am happy to see Stamkos go to Trotzy. When Marchessault was in Tampa, you could see he was a way better player than how he was played there. I dont think they knew how to play him. When he went to Florida he showed how good he was and I was surprised to see Florida leave him unprotected when Vegas came on the scene. He showed his true worth in Vegas. He is a true puck hound and a sniper. Trotzy hit on leadership and what direction he wants to go in. Stamkos checks all those boxes. I look for Nashville to be a force in the east this year.
Josi will be 36 soon, stamkos, marchassult, oreilly will be 34 next season and forsberg will be 30 next year. Good luck with that super old roster.
Caps fan here. So happy for Barry and the job he's doing. He's as good of a GM as he was a coach. And above all, he's just an outstanding human being. He took the time to talk to me for about 20 minutes after the Caps practice years back. I hope he wins Nashville multiple cups.
Good to see a team I like benefit from Tampa's stupidity. Silver lining from losing Stammer.
The G.O.A.T himself
THIS is how free agency should be done by every GM! If you aren't trying to go sailing, then what are you even doing?
First round exit
Careful what you wish for Preds!!
Lol what a Cup? OK.
@@donborvio Like Stamkos....Full Stop
@@jimburris8955 Ok, got Marchessault too. Feeling good about adding 100 goals to the team a season (20 for Sjkei)
@@donborvio Look, there is no doubt Nashville improved- Marchessault is a product of the Bolts system, so I am very familiar and your going to like him! My point is there are many reasons Tampa let Stamkos walk so you will not be getting what you think you are.- Legendary one timer and past that a below average player. Tampa won their first of the back to back cups without him. PP specialist if you have the people to set him up- If that is what your looking for than OK. 5x5 he stinks defensively and will keep your top line trapped in the D zone far too much. He stalls rushes by fumbling passes and under pressure passes to nobody. Does not back check or win many battles along the wall. Hard on your top guy's to play with him. Rarely drives the rush and does not make the players on his line better. They have to make him better and you don't have Kucherov on your team.
@@jimburris8955 Fair enough, was wondering where you were going with this. PP is a big need for the Preds, so he'll be very useful there. But I wonder if just a change of pace for him will get him energized to play a bit better than he has? A year ago Stamkos said he "saw the writing on the wall", so hard to give your all for a team that's giving up on you or just sees you as another wheel on the wagon. We'll see what happens this fall.
Preds lose the the Lightning in the finals.
As a fan who's spent serious money at Amalie in the last few years, I guarantee Tampa misses the playoffs next year.
@@jfayiii I'll bet you with 100 to 1 odds the Lightning make the playoffs.
