@@iKonks far from perfect, naturally. Perfect BC micro would be teleporting all the BCs directly on top of the temepests, double yamatoing half of the temepests, and then just out DPsing them.
I liked the bigger battles, even if they were quite a bit longer. I think I still prefer many shorter ones, though. I was completely surprised by that first fight! I wouldn't have guessed jumping would actually help the BCs!
Are protoss units overrated? Except immortals. Archons + carriers cost 3 times the gas but still lost horribly. Tempests are supposed to be the counter to massive ships but still...not even close. I know tempests have range advantage but in reality if BCs warp in to catch them they still stand no chance. Or being chased by marines, golden armada will get obliterated
Well, man with shields and drugs are always the best option and, in the fight between BCs and Tempest, we cannot forget the micro. If in that fight, BCs didnt warp or didnt use yamato, I can sure the defeat of them. But, using 100 yamatos, and jumping right after the shot, make them win this fight easily
Every BC matchup has to account for the opening volley of Yamato's so if it's equal numbers BC's can 1 shot almost anything, and tempests on red are easy mopping up.
Battlecruiser teleport and yamato is just way too strong in group. "Never bet against immortals and zealots together". Baneling are just not made to kill a single ultralisk. Last one was close though. Here carriers scale risk to overwhelm vikings and archons deal bonus damage vs marine + SPLASH which also damage vikings. Still I find marines number is way too high so archons will get stomped and carriers will get 1v2. 4/4 Was pretty easy.
@@anvietanh6723 Good point, that makes sense if it teleports when it has close to 1 hp. Then it can run back and keep attacking instead of being dead assuming it doesn't instantly die when back in range.
4/4! Battlecruiser is just a much better unit than the tempest - the yamato cannon is much better than the tempest's basic attack in the opening salvos, and the basic attack of the battlecruiser is great, too, especially in swarms. That plus the teleport? I would have been incredibly surprised if the battlecruisers lost, since imo it's by far the best aerial unit in the *game*, even moreso in an even fight with protoss's weakest aerial unit. Protoss vs Zerg was closer, but I figured the zealots would hold long enough to give the immortals time to shred through the roaches, especially since the first few will die w/out queen intervention. Roaches and queens are strong, but they can't handle that amount of DPS and survivability. Ultralisks seem difficult to kill, but that one was essentially a coinflip. I guessed right. Protoss vs Terran seemed much more obvious than it ended up being, since the vikings didn't win by as much as I thought they would. Still, carriers are a medium air unit, and 50 carriers are easily annihilated by 100 vikings. Archons vs marines is more difficult, but I think 8 marines would beat an archon, so I just multiplied and ended with a protoss loss.
2/4. I had no clue what bane vs ultra looked like. Also overestimated archons. Tell me, is it cheating to decide "This army if this happens, but if THIS happens, then obviously this other army?" I sometimes do that for the two unit armies, thinking "if the zealots die first, then obviously this army, but if the zerglings die first then obviously the other army". But to be clear, I was 100% immortals all the way. Queens just are so bad in these fights, without creep to go fast and transfuse, while very good, feels like an ability that allows you to see if you are winning or losing a fight before half your units die, so you can perhaps retreat with more units when you are losing. In a direct all or nothing engagement it just makes the fight last longer. At least that is my probably poorly informed opinion.
Transfuse can help you win engagements, keeping your low DPS frontline alive whilst the high DPS backline if free to kill stuff off, but it also acts as a survivability tool. And yes, it is cheating, but there is a short grace period begire submitting your guess in the larger fights. Lets you see if things are derping out and whatnot.
3/4 1) BCs are really good. Tempests are really bad on their own. Kinda easy. 2) I bet against the Immortals. I am a fool for betting against them. If they were Vanguards, it probably would've been a lot more one-sided. 3) I got spoiled on this one, but Ultras have a looooot of HP to chew through, and the tankiness to brush aside most ox the banelings. Maybe if there were about fifty more, it would have flipped? 4) I also got spoiled on this one, but 100 Vikings? Talk about overkill for any other punitive air force.
In fairness for the first fight, the tempests cost far less. Perhaps if the tempests waited (and with somewhat more of them) for the BC's to come closer, they might win
i really wish the bc's in this right click moved instead of attack moving so they would be hitting their shots after killing an enemy instead of having to move up
Eyo 4/4 Battlecruisers are just better than tempests. Immortals vs roaches, we all know how this one ends. Lucky guess, but based on the price I felt ultras. Tough one but in smaller numbers I've seen terran win this
Versus tempests are just too nerfed :/ 150 less total hp, so from 450 down to 300, no disintegrate and less damage vs everything but structures. Even with bonus dmg vs air massive, still 8 less per hit.
Versus tempest still do 67 damage vs air massive at +3/3/3, so they are bound to kill stuff despite having 150 less total hp, 8 less damage vs air massive, slower weapon (i think? Depends how accurate the wiki is), and no disintegrate. Disintegrate alone would have left the BCs at 50 hp, - 1 hit away.
Yamato alpha strike is too good. Immortals were being themselves as usual. Ultras are too fat for Baneling splash to really do much. Marines are too good for their cost. Easy 4/4 :D
Only way tempest could have won that one was if their massive range had been allowed to be used and more of less all temptest was allowed to fire, in other words a straight line of tempest against a straight line of battle cruisers and even then i am not sure if they would make given the OP yamato gun.
