BTD - Really enjoyed the vid. I have been contemplating this for a couple of years. I am retired so I need to get this done. Looked like a great ride. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Dave, it is a great ride. If not camping along the way, be sure to book accommodations early, like no later than end of January. It's a very popular trail, with not many places to stay. Have Fun, let me know if you get it done.
Thanks for your comments. I will be back again. I live in So. Cal, but grew up in PGH (still have family there). We had a great time in Connellsville, I'll ride through there again for sure. Doing the C&O ride later this summer.
@@beyondthedriveway1839 C&O is great. Loved the trail when I was riding it couple of years ago and again last month as a part of my month-long Amtrak and bike adventure travel. 👍
Nice video guys, I am a 61 year old bike rider in NY State and I do a lot of rails to trails riding. It's April 8th and I finally got the bike out of the basement this afternoon and your video here has me READY to start another season of riding! It sure is fun isn't it?
Glad to hear you enjoyed the video, and are back out riding. I live in So. Cal where I can luckily ride year round. We're doing the C&O Canal ride in late August, I'll have that video out in September. The Empire State Trail in your area, have you ridden any of it? Its on my list for must-do ride. Happy Riding (I'm 63 by the way, hope to never stop)
@@beyondthedriveway1839 Yes! I have ridden the Empire State Trail from Buffalo to Rochester and back several times. It's very nice. I think your group would enjoy it. I like trails that really get me into the woods and nature so I am more of a Pine Creek Rail Trail sort of guy. The Empire State Trail is nice but really you are going from small town to small town because towns kept springing up along the canal throughout it's history. I have always wanted to check out the city of Harpers Ferry, I hope you guys can set aside at least 1 day for that area, I hear it is beautiful to explore by bike. I hope to visit there sometime this summer myself! The appalachian trail actually joins the C and O Canal as it passes through Harpers Ferry. It doesn't get any better than that!
Hi! First of all, great video! I am planning on riding from pittsburgh to ohiopyle over this memorial weekend. I consider myself fit and was wondering if it’s possible/doable to ride fron pittsburgh to ohiopyle (~70miles) in one day, spend overnight at the park and ride back the next. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Definitely, you'll love it. Its a very gradual grade, pretty much unnoticeable. Pitt to Ohiopyle in 2 days is super manageable. Let me now how it goes for you. Have Fun

Have you started planning your ride for this year?
Well done. What fun! Thanks for sharing.
@@boatman5151 thanks for watching and commenting. That was not my best video production, but it was a really fun ride.
Great footage! Thanks for highlighting the trail and my hometown of Connellsville, PA. Hope you come back sometime soon.
Ride on‼️🚴🏼

I was riding the GAP trail just last week loved it. 👍
Thanks for watching, my group is doing the C&O ride in late August, should be a blast.
