Here is the practical demonstration about how to read units in the electricity meter or how to check electric meter reading single phase energy meter connection and how to check digital electric meter reading in Pakistan.
Energy meter or kWh electric meter is a measuring instrument which is used for measuring different electrical power and energy parameters like total electricity units kWh MD (maximum demand) also called MDI means maximum demand indicator previous month total load and instantaneous kw etc.
There are many brands manufacturers for making these energy meters so after watching this video you can check and read any WAPDA meter reading like k electric digital meter information or Iesco Lesco Pepco Qesco and Pesco etc.
Normally a single phase meter having 5 energy meter reading parameters for digital meter reading in Pakistan a meter reader from supply company comes and note that for billing purpose.

Ampere is the SI Unit for Current
Watt is the SI Unit for Power
AC current is the Alternating Current
DC is the Direct Current
In AC, the flow of electrons not only travels in one direction but both forward and backward in an electrical circuit
Whereas in DC, the flow of electrons travels in a single direction, from one terminal to another
The flow of electrons is know as current for short
That's not your problem

very informative video,but you missed about how to check peak hours consumption and off peak hours usage as all bills are based on those two factors.please do tell us about it too thanks.
He actually missed to inform us that he is talking about single phase meter, where peak hour units are not included. Peak-hours and off-hours are associated with three phase meter.

Thanks. My meter recently changed by Wapda and it's running too fast (seven times the past meter). I called Wapda staff and without checking properly, only looking at Earth light turned on the meter, they said issue with my internal wires. Is this the purpose of earth light on and what could be the internal issue. Any clue on what could be the issue and why wapda staff said issue with internal wires by looking at red earth light?
Turn off all breakers except the main. Does the meter spin at all? It should be stopped.
If stopped, then turn on one 120 V breaker to a circuit that has no load, or that all loads on that circuit can be turned off. Again the meter should not spin.
Assuming it does not spin, then put a 120 V 1500 W heater on that circuit. Find the calibration constant for the meter. Others can help you with this. Then use a stopwatch and time one or X revolutions and calculate power.
If the calibration is approximately OK, then individually test each circuit for a high power load by using one breaker at a time.
