In this part-II of Kapila's home tour, you will see the dining room, family room, kids room and master bedroom.
Kapila loves to collect the items that are quite unique, have a story associated with them and gel with other decor accessories in her home.
The dining room has several carved wood statement furniture pieces like the daybed, wall panel, floor lamp, wall shelf and dining table also is an attention-grabbing furniture. She also has grandfather's clock that that is quite vintage and wasn't working earlier but Kapila got it repaired and it is in working condition now.
In her family room, the daybed is a multifunctional piece of furniture that converts into a bed when guests visit. The painting above the daybed is done by Kapila herself and it is inspired by S.H Raza's work. Lots of African decor accents like the carved pumpkin, drum, carved wooden stools and carved wooden plaques. The family room gets ample light and fresh air.
A beautiful bunk bank in solid wood, all the way from Nairobi takes the centre stage in kids' room, solves all the storage worries and frees up space. Lots of colours that aren't too dull or bright and geometric pattern have been used to create a feature wall which is so apt for kids' room.
Like all the other rooms, master bedroom has few statement pieces too like a boat-shaped chair and a treasure trunk. The bedroom is clutter free and unlike other rooms has a minimalistic decor.
