We had so much fun filming this one. We love comedy and have had the idea for introducing some character skits for a while. I think mixing in our humor with what’s really going on will be a cool thing for us, we hope you keep enjoying! And yes, so good to have water from the sea - makes you appreciate water that much more and how not to waste it! ~Mandi

Take the Waters haha ye I hope 🤞 use keep up the fun And good work as use both seam to be having a blast. Great video. Love the ending ha ha! Well done. I have had both the kind of watermaker that you have, component built 110V system. 20 Gal / hr. That was on a Cal 46, a boat with lots of space especially for machinery. My other boat a K Peterson 44 I installed, with separate components, a Spectra watermaker. 12V. Because all of the components could be separated, I was able to install it all over the place so didn’t have to take up too much hi value storage and space. Loved the 12Volts. Could make nearly 10 gph just using solar panels. It was also Much quieter than the 110V. The Spectra systems was also not that much effected with water temperature. But I really liked them both. The best part of the 110V one was at 20gph I would just run it once every couple of weeks. In one shot, fill all of the 200 gals of tanks and be done with it for a couple of weeks. I always gave both units a good fresh water flush after use unless it was going to be right back on soon. Good production. Thanks.
Thank you Gabriele. We always think we're funny when we're making these types of videos, but we never know what others will think. Glad you liked it. - Brian

OMFG! Forgive me for commenting on yet another vid; effing hilarious! Love the slo-mo bathroom antics, very funny and entertaining! You folks are on to something I’m thinkin’. So glad you’re doing the vids with humor. Keep it up, I’m cheering you on. Be safe, fair winds.
Hey guys this was brilliant and thoroughly entertaining .. the water maker was a huge project to undertake and the skits were fantastic and very funny.
Hey Ian, thanks for watching. Yeah, that water maker took FOREVER to finish. Like months. But we crammed it into 12 minutes and got our friend involved lol. - Brian
Hahaha, so glad you like them!! We love to play around together and we’ve developed great comedic skits together. We wanted to introduce these characters to see how it went and I’m shocked by the good response! This was so much fun to shoot too 😂😂. ~Mandi
Thank you! I've always loved making films and Mandi is a great actress and impersonator, so we're having fun since we can't do as much sailing in these times. -Brian

Awesome. Glad that our comedy it working. This is only our second attempt at being funny in our videos. Check out our boat tour too, it's a fun one. -Brian
Hi is it not better to have most of the components above the water line not in the bilges, in case of flooding, and to ensure water does not get contaminated during the process? I saw other channels where they used cabinets above the waterline. Also why did you not install the pressure gauges in the Nav area or somewhere for easy access and direct line of site? Let me know as I am also looking for most efficient places to install my WM on my Cat.
I'd say if you have the room, keep the motors out of the bilge. We didn't have any other place to put them due to the size of the motors, unless I wanted to run water lines and power all the way to the transom lockers which would be a nightmare. Our bilge is usually very dry. In terms of contamination, a flood wouldn't effect anything as the systems is sealed, if it wasn't then there probably other problems to consider. I suppose a flood would damage the motors, but so far so good. My Pre/post gauges and flow meters are right next to each. I'm making another tech video that gives a detailed explanation of how everything is setup and the operation of the system. I'm releasing it to Patreon first, and then on RUclips. Not trying to plug Patreon, just a fyi of the timing. Thanks for watching! -Brian
Very impressive system. Who needs water tanks when you have the ocean. You are a very smart engineer. Looks so complicated. How often do you need to change the filters? Would not want to run out of those in the middle of nowhere.
Thanks! Brian put a lot of time in to researching and configuring the build for it. The pre-filters we change out every 3-4 uses. We clean them out and try to re-use them also. Then the high pressure membrane filters we make sure to take care of them as instructed, and they should last us years! ~Mandi
@@TakeTheWaters : Brilliant concept. Every yacht should have this on board. You two could make a fortune installing this system in personal craft for many customers who live on board and travel the world. Fresh water is always hard to find these days. You are sitting on a gold mine !
