    Glad things dried well enough for you folks to get back to spreading and strip-tilling. We've finally gotten dry enough to get some manure spread and tillage done.

    It's amazing how fast tillage or planting go once you get started.

    Thanks for another great video Brian and BJ.
    It was interesting and enjoyable.
    Busy busy time for all of you guys to your field work. You said dad was trimming some trees. Always a good job to get done for getting machinery around them.
    You and BJ are knocking out some acres getting ready for the planter. Does not take long when you get going. I will see the planter going soon I am assuming.
    No breakdowns so that is good.
    About it I guess. Thanks for everything Brian. You all take care and be safe.
    The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

    April 26,27 and 28 the corn and bean planters were moving,FAST! Dust was so bad all you could see of planter was the seed and fertilizer tanks. Man 24 and 16 row planters cover a lot of ground very quickly. Had rain evening of the 28 and on and off on the 29. Total rain 1.1 inch. Hope you got some in the ground. I'm in west central Indiana.

    Central Illinois here, started planting April 9th. Have had a few rains sporadically and just had 3” of rain over the last 3 days. About half done with planting. More rain in the forecast this week

    explain why you didn't get 16 row corn head and since the stripper bar is 16 rows i'm sure they would of had a 16 row planter instead of 24 than all matching rows

    • @benjaminbauer4883
      @benjaminbauer4883 5 месяцев назад

      In a previous video he said with gps shut off on the planter they can plant the correct amount of end rows.

    • @robo1210
      @robo1210 5 месяцев назад

      Planter and corn head need to match up for sure. 3 passes with 16 rows = 48 rows or two passes with 24 row planter
      Rtk lines up the strip till passes just fine in the long rows. Only time it might be off is on headlands and it’s not that big of a deal if planter isn’t perfectly aligned with strips on headlands.
