Thank you very much, I love the end result but the dust I find rather irritating, I may have developed a slight sensitivity to it over the years. This thick piece was very aromatic and smelled a bit better than usual.
Welcome back to woodturning Jim. Beautiful bowl. You introduced me to Milliput and I use it often. I really like the turqouise colour they brought out about a year ago.
Jim regarding your milliput, copper and wood threading exercise. You may wish to consider trying soaking the wood portion of threads in boiled linseed oil, wood threads much more nicely after doing so. Thanks for making videos!
Yay! I love it. I have been thinking about you a lot the last few days. I wasdoing a project using some JB Weld Steel Stick. If for some reason they don't have that on your side of the pond, it is a lot like Milliput only it is all in one stick. The second half of the 2 part epoxy putty is in the middle, a bit like a filled donut. It is reinforced with steel dust and sets up in minutes instead of the hours Milliput takes. Anyhew, I was working it into the places I needed to repair and I was saying to myself, "Just squidge it into place". 😁
Hi Jim, My wife and I will be coming over to Yandles on Saturday afternoon. Looking forward to meeting you and perhaps if you are not too busy have a little chat. Love some of the items you have done. Will you be bringing over the " eyeball " ? Looks amazing All the best Jeff and Sue Rigden
Thank you very much. It should hold up OK, I made a large Ash bowl with the same technique a few years ago and left it on the window ledge for a few months and although it warped slightly it did not crack. In many ways it is little different to a segmented piece. I am not sure whether a thin walled piece will produce less or more internal stress than a thick walled piece.
Milliput is back! 🙌🏽
Yep, a Milliput video at long last. Many thanks for watching
Jim that's beautiful 😍 For all that you don't like Sapele, it seems to respond well 😉

Thank you very much Alan, I love the turquoise too but the terracotta does go well with the sapele
Beautiful, Jim. The inlay was a great idea and well executed. The chatoyance is special too. Take care.
Bill
Thank you very much Bill, glad you like it

Many thanks for watching. Yes a few people have suggested using oil. Recently I have been 3D printing threaded inserts to use instead.
Absolutely beautiful bowl. Good to see a new Milliput project.
Thank you very much!
Gosh Jim, it's lovely! The wood positively glows! Good to see you again.
Thank you very much, glad you like it
I love watching you work with Milliput. But the real highlight, for me, is your daughter's cheeky comment at the end 😉 🤣
😊 thank you, I will tell her, she will be delighted

Just gotta squidge sometimes. Many thanks for watching
That is a great looking piece. Nice work. After seeing this, it made me crack out the milliput again. Forgot how much I like working with it.

Lovely piece, good to see you back. I do enjoy your Milliput videos 🙂
Thank you very much, I can see that I need to do more Milliput stuff
Very nice, JIm. I like how you made the Milliput go all the way through the side of the bowl.
Thanks Tom, I would only attempt this technique with very dry, stable, non-oily wood
Jim, as usual another elegant work !
Loved it. 👌👍😍❤
Thank you so much 😀👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Lovely bowl, Jim! I know that's not as easy a turn as you make it look, but what a result! Thank you for sharing it.

Fabulous as always! Thanks Jim... Loved it.

Lovely effect! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much, glad you like it
Hi Jim great bowl. The dust and shavings might well be due to the interlocked grain of Sapele
Thanks Lewis, yes interlocked grain, brittle wood and usually very dry.
Been waiting for this for a long time thank you
Thank you very much, glad you approve
@@JimsonMakes I really love those milliput inlay videos
Good to see you back at it. Beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
Very nice. I see what you mean about the terracotta colour working well with the sapele.
Many thanks, yes the terracotta is a very good match and compliments the sapele wood

❤great job appreciate your talents
Thank you so much 😀
Beautiful.
Thank you
How does the rim hold up fastened with just milliput? I would be concerned for separation over time…. Looks great, I will say.

Mate you should give Kustom Grit a go! Gives you a much higher grit finish than Yorkshire Grit does!
Yorkshire Grit addiction !
Very, very nifty! But a lot of tedium.
takes time but worth the effort, thanks for watching
Beautiful!
