What a great all-purpose video and a beautiful trip - really does help those prospective buyers like me ! Retired now, but I attended Portland State, and I loved it. Rode all over , from the coast to almost Idaho, and it was scenic everywhere. Mountain twisties, banks of the Columbia...but for sure have a windshield, carry raingear, and take jackets - its not SoCal or Daytona ....! I currently have a 2014 Fly 150 3V, but looking to give it to my nephew and get a Vespa 300.
I just got my first scoot the other day… a Burgman 650. It’s a lot of fun to ride, and this is from someone who also rides a Harley Heritage. They are both different and both fun for different reasons. But I will be honest here, the Burgman is good, but I really want a Vespa.
Thanks for watching! I miss doing this kind of video to showcase a bike. Will probably bring them back next time we do one. It’s fun to show the scooter in the real world. Take care!
Yep it's 2022 and I am late to the party. I am really considering a Vespa due to what I have heard has some of the best reliability and looks of course. The yellow is off the chain and would work perfectly here in Florida.
Awesome video, thank you! I'm considering buying vespa myself as pretty much first bike/scooter. The real struggle is to decide between 150 and 300 though.
Thanks for watching. The 150 or 300 decision is tough. If higher speed roads and/or a passenger are likely going to be a big part of your riding, go with the 300.
Our friends at Vespa Motorsport did a review video on the Liberty 150 a year or two ago. It's the same scooter now, just different available colors. Check out Robot's video.
i like your vespa content about touring crossing the state, i ride vespa sprint 150 but i just only ride through the city. u inspired me to ride more, im from indonesia by the way.
I’ve found a 2018, same color, same accessories for $3600. Based on your experience if it has been well maintained that seems like a good price but I would be interested in your thoughts. Also are there any major differences from the 2020 to 2018 model years? Thanks in advance, really enjoy your reviews.
There’s more LED lighting in the 2020 vs the 18 but other than that… nothing really coming to mind. That sounds like a good deal! Good luck and thanks for watching.
On the back of the scooter? That’s called a top case. You’ll need to get a flat rack to hold it on as well and the cases are color matched to your Vespa scooter. You can find the paint code in the under-seat storage bucket.
My150 can only do 68 going downhill on flat ground top speed 62 mph it's going to come down to your bodyweight it's more than fair to say that it only do 60 mph
Ha! No one wants to see me stuffing face. It was The Larch Mountain sundae. From their site: “Vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream with blondie brownie bites, our signature blueberry-lavender sauce and pine nut honeycomb clusters” Delicious.
Yes and easier to handle at higher speeds, and more comfortable for two riders. Only possible issue is the width. If you’re shorter it may be harder to touch the ground. Go sit on one at your local dealer to be sure. Thanks for watching!
@@VespaPortland i am 6'1 170 lbs. Sounds like i need to try the gts. Headed to vespa shop saturday to look at a 2021 gts 300. They have a white super sixties, red super hpe and blue matte super sport.

Vespa 125s? Maybe he’s referring to Europe. Genuine Scooters makes the Buddy and Buddy Kick in a 125cc version if that’s the number you’re craving! Thanks for watching.
will this thing handle a 220 lbs mid size man?? and with a pillon? Im thinking about riding on highway and carry my wife in city. Will the chassis deform hitting a dent?
On a good day I’m 230; more so now with as many burritos and beers and I stuff in my face. The gross vehicle weight rating on the Sprint 150 is 727lbs so it should be fine for two but will be slower and more crowded depending on your heights. Maybe go for the GTS!
If you're not going to do lots of higher speed riding, the 150 should be fine. I take my Primavera on short freeway rides (a few exits). If you have a lot of hills in your city the 300 might be the better choice just for the extra power. Good luck!
A bad habit that may bite me someday. But then again people don’t wear helmets in 3 states so… we asses our comfort level with risk and act accordingly.

I don't know what it is about yellow, but its definitely gotta be my favorite color for the classic look scooters.
Yellow is definitely a great scooter color. Thanks for watching.
The shot at 10:38 is awesome and just shows the 150 can climb! Cheers

Great ride, great video. Thanks for sharing.
It was! I should do it again sometime. Thanks for watching.
That's one thing I can't do with a motorcycle, hold an ice cream and drive at the same time. No clutch is an advantage.

I bought my wife a 50cc last Christmas and it shows 45mph on the indicator when she’s at top speed. 2021 primavera. 🤷🏽♂️
They’re a little optimistic. If it reads 45 she’s likely going 40 at most.
Just because it’s fuel injected, doesn’t mean you don’t have to use a fuel preservative when storing over winter!
Yeah, it's probably a good idea in general. Low likelihood an injector is going to clog on bad gas though. Thanks for watching!

Can you please let me know what the name of that additional storage unit you have? Picking up a Vespa Sprint soon and would like to have that.

I can get up to 68 at nearly 250lbs. I gotta slow down on the burritos.
What octane gas do you recommend/ use here in the USA?
The owners manuals all recommend 91 or 92. Whatever premium is in your state.
Lol 😆 why didn’t you let us see you inhale the ice cream 🍨. “That was delicious “ So funny. What did you order by the way?

Whats the difference between this vespa model and the 2021 primavera 150?
The Sprint and Primavera are identical internally. Differences are the colors offered and the shape of the headlight, mirrors, and rear grab rail.
I am debating on a primavera or a gts. Is the gts that much more powerful and fast to justify?
Yes and easier to handle at higher speeds, and more comfortable for two riders. Only possible issue is the width. If you’re shorter it may be harder to touch the ground. Go sit on one at your local dealer to be sure. Thanks for watching!

Congrats!
Which one you like primavera or sprint ?
Both! I own a Primavera but I would own a Sprint too. Depends on which colors and overall look you like!
How good of a job does the smaller windscreen do?
Depends on your height. At 6’ it kicks the wind at my face but I don’t mind it. Free air conditioner.

Does it have 10 or 12inch wheels?
12 on the Sprint! Thanks for watching.

What about 125Cc, now even though it’s the same engine as 150, still you should mention it, it’s got less hip, right?
There's no 125cc in the United States market. We only get 50, 150, and 300.

Does the sprint really go 70 mph?
Very close. 68 mph but the speedo will indicate 73. They’re typically 5 mph fast.
one more question...Will it cruise at around 62 mph or does it feel like it’s being pushed to limit? Thanks
Cruises fine there
