    His skill with making the mythology of his fantasy worlds is notable, comparable to Tolkien. His Gods, Goddesses and the history and mystery of his books are what always captivated me.

    It appears we need to mention this man and his stories in Brandon Sanderson videos and vice versa. Both excellent fantasy/SF authors.

    I started reading Dragonbone Chair because it is so highly lauded, but I put it down on page 319 because it was just so slow... What can you guys tell me about how the story progresses, should I give it another go? Will it pick up soon?

      yeah, relish in the pacing, slow yourself down and appreciate the language. the man knows what he's doing.

      @@hemslonnigum Thanks for your reply. I actually pushed through it and Memory, Sorrow, Thorn became one of my favorite fantasy series! I just finished Into the Narrowdark last week!

      @@rhahnabunaidthat’s great. I haven’t read the sequel story. Do you recommend it?

      @rhahnabunaid Месяц назад

      @@hemslonnigum Yes, certainly. I admit that I do not hold it in as high a regard as I do the first trilogy, but it's definitely worth reading. It's different, and clearly more modern fantasy than traditional, but Williams took it in a great direction. I thought Empire of Grass was a little bit of a slug, but Into the Narrowdark was fantastic and I'm looking forward to the conclusion.

      @@rhahnabunaid thanks, I appreciate that. I am close to finishing the Dragonbone Chair right now and may be burnt out by the time I finish the entire trilogy, so I likely won't jump into the new series right away, but I will get to it eventually. I am looking forward to seeing how Williams's craft has evolved. I really enjoy his command of language. It is a pleasure to read.
